The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. Its most significant innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste most other robots can't avoid (and often plough right through). It's also the first to automatically send you photos of the object it comes across so you can tell it to avoid it in the future.
The Combo j7+ is also the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt with ease without leaving any trace that was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app which lets you schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum areas you don't want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it with a voice.
The design is also better than the competition. It features a sleek, high-end piece that resembles an toy, not the loud and annoying robot. The Clean Base automatic floor cleaner Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying, which is great to reduce the time spent cleaning.
In our tests, we found that the j7+ swiftly took away dirt, dust, and hair from pets. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one place instead of scattering it all over the floor. It was able to collect sand, small gravel and even a little grit. Most robots can't accomplish this feat. It did all without getting caught up in our pet's hair.
Although it's not as efficient as the Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs, the j7+ is still a solid option for those who need both mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not expensive, and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates and it's sometimes difficult to tell whether they're functioning until you actually witness them in action.

They also have a number of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. They are expensive at full retail but often are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock makes some of our favorite robot cleaner vacuums, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is the least expensive model of their auto-empty line. Although it might not have some of the more luxurious features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories) however, it's a great choice if you are willing to compromise to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is noticeable gentle around obstacles like tables and walls and walls, which makes it a great option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough when it comes to cleaning dust bunnies, which is an area which many robot vacuums fail. The Q5+'s navigation system is excellent, with few misses on walls and corners.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and automated vacuum cleaner that's incredibly intelligent in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design and features are some of the most advanced available however, it's also expensive.
It's a small base station that looks great and is able to be concealed when not in use. But the station's biggest selling feature is the way it automatizes numerous tasks and functions that other robots will leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water and also electrolyze and warm the water. Many other robots require this.
Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's the only robovacs that I've tested that does an excellent job of picking up debris on plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robotvacs. This means that it could get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms of the house. It can't climb stairs as well as some competitors, either and it doesn't have an dock that allows you to set up an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets with plush padding.

If you're looking for a way to save money or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of alternatives available. Many of the eufy models cost significantly less. eufy is an Anker company with an established track record of making robot vacuums that have the right balance of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning on hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at a price that is affordable. It's easy to set up, just snap one of the side brushes on, switch on and plug in the charging dock. The app takes you through several steps to connect to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. It is recommended to keep the dock near an electrical outlet and enough space to allow it to move around, however.
The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be exact and can be placed under sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design is more subtle in comparison to other models. It features a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral fashion over two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.
The way in which the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from other models. It uses a built-in map to create an image of immovable objects it encounters while retaining what it's cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning where it left off.
The elegant G30 isn't without faults however. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better built, incurs lower recurring expenses, charges more quickly and has the same battery life. It also offers superior performance on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't require more emptying. It also comes with border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't need emptying as often and is less prone to suffocating bulky material like cereal.
