Although it doesn't have some of the more expensive features (like no-go areas and multi-story memories) however, it's a great choice for those who are willing to make some compromises to save a few dollars.
The Q5+ is extremely soft when it comes to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it an ideal choice for homes that have lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies, which is a place where cheaper robot vacuums can really fail. But the station's biggest selling factor is its ability to automate many tasks and functions that other robots leave up to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot clean and charged.
Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's the few robovacs I've tried that does a really good job of picking up debris on unfinished floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially in the area of navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren’t as reliable as other robotvacs. This means that it is prone to getting stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the home. It's also not able to climb stairs as well as other models and doesn't come with a dock that can create a cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent option for those looking for a vacuum robot that can do everything.
