The i3+ doesn't feature obstacle avoidance features like the i7+ or other top-highest rated robot vacuum robots we test. It can be stuck on power cords or socks and have difficulty navigating between surfaces, such as carpet and hardwood.

iRobot suggests that you clear areas where the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, including clearing out any clutter or toys it may come across. It's also an excellent idea to keep the dustbin and filter clean so that they don't become clogged with dirt. In our testing the i7+ was more agile and faster than our top choice which was the eufy RoboVac G30, and it picked up large pieces of pet hair from all surface kinds including carpeting.
