World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.

For instance a weapon that has the upgrade template that is ending in % will take on 3damage to attack each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons, and trinkets to provide an additional stat boost or effect while they're in use. These can be obtained by making crafts, buying from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment with a slot for them. The Best item upgrade must have been at the very least upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a particular type of upgrade component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment and some of the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it's used on (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of the equipment that require less Upgrade Crystals than is required to reach the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the defense or attack properties of a weapon, or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades are available for purchase them in the cash shop, or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other equipment.

The player is able to have a maximum of five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-level version of the item will appear at the time of the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear, even if they are unsure how much it can be improved upon a reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be costly, and it is possible that the item will be obsolete, or even break, if the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the possibility of failure. Certain upgrades also provide a bonus if they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as you can to level 15.

You'll often see in the final game that placing Glyphs is the Best item upgrade method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes more quickly.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced again are the most commonly used. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values can enhance a stat by, and the value is shown when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the many Glyphs as well as also a few rare Glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be put on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that can boost the stats of a particular set of nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. Based on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Using a Glyph can boost all nodes that are connected to it, and you should aim to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids, for instance should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also want to consider placing them near their critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrade system allows players to boost the stats of specific items by introducing upgraded components. This is referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item has an amount that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level requires a different amount of components to reach and the costs for upgrading increase as the item gets advanced in level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or obtained from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used to level up the item, and when enough are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player upgrades the equipment they have it will be replaced with an item upgrader mod that is new. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set bonus. This could be a drawback in that it could cause the item to become more expensive, even if you don't need it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens to be able to do so. The item will be replaced by a brand new one that has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This can be useful, but shouldn't be done often as it could waste resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value, allowing players to customize their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or is able to swim like a dolphin). This item can be upgraded several times and increases the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item can be very valuable in PvP, as a perfectly rolled version of it could be worth between 20 and 50 times its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to upgrade the quality of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrading armor set pieces will also boost the defense base of the piece, whereas upgrading weapon items will increase the base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear which can be upgraded up to eight times. Every time you upgrade an object it has a chance of failing. The rate of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to revert to its initial condition, which requires the user to pay more for materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. Additionally, the item will lose any bonuses it gained such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as all additional effects associated with the effect (for example, increased heal over time or speed of reload). However, the user can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that, should a weapon gain an increase in the chance of crit it will be applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the definition of the item and the value is calculated each time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a typical equipment item may have five upgrades at a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items will have the lowest cost for each upgrade.

Premium items could have different upgrade requirements than standard gear. For example they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. However, players will need to visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. Each upgrade item of equipment requires different amounts of the ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the costs mentioned above.
