If you've ever wanted to buy a robot vacuum now's your chance. CNET's best-rated models will be available during Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts of up to 57%..

The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping with app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its greatest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes and the pet waste that most other robots can't avoid (and often go through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of the object it comes across to let you know to stay clear of it in the future.

The Combo j7+ is also the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt effortlessly and leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. You can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't sweep in areas you don’t wish to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it by speaking to it.

The design is also superior to the competition. It has a sleek, high-end piece that looks like toys rather than an obnoxious and loud robot. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System self cleaning vacuum cleaner-empties which is great to reduce the time spent cleaning.

In our tests the j7+ was quick to pick up and remove dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one spot instead of scattering it across the floor. It even managed to take small gravel and sand which other robots couldn't do. And it did all of this without getting caught in our pet's hair shed.

Although it's not as efficient as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, and it's not able to Clean Smart Robot stairs The j7+ is still an excellent choice for those who need both mopping and a vac in their home. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that work with robotic floor vacuums cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and at times it's difficult to tell whether the update actually working until you've seen it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for a robotic vacuum cleaner that does more than just clean your floors, a hybrid is the best choice. These machines are equipped with a tank of water so they can vacuum and mop at the same time. They also have a number of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance and even the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. They're costly at retail, but usually are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our most loved robotic vacuums and the Q5+ doesn't perform to the standards. This is the least expensive model in their auto-empty line. Although it might not have some of the more premium features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories) however, it's an excellent option for those who are willing to make some compromises to save a few bucks.

The Q5+ is exceptionally gentle when it comes down to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an ideal option for homes with many furniture pieces. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is an area that most robot vacuums of lower quality do not excel in. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is excellent and has very few misses in corners and on walls.

The Q5+, as with other Roborock products can be controlled via a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleaning and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones and alter your home map or re-label rooms.

If you opt for the Q5+, it ships with a new auto-empty dock designed specifically to make this bagless robot vacuum simple to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver however, once it's in place emptying the bin can be done easily. It comes with a huge LCD screen which is helpful when setting up schedules and adjusting settings. This isn't an essential feature for everyone however it will aid in keeping the track of the maintenance intervals for your robot easily.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly intelligent in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is among the best in the industry, but it's expensive.

It's a small base station that looks stunning and can be hidden when not in use. But the station's main selling feature is the way it automatizes various tasks and functions that other robots will leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot vacuum cleaners clean and charged.

And its vacuuming is impressive, too. It's the only robovac that I've tested that does an excellent job of removing debris from bare floors. It's also not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the home. It's not able navigate stairs as well as some competitors, for instance, and it doesn't have an dock that allows you to create an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets with plush padding.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent option for those looking for an automated vacuum that can do it all.

However, if you're looking to save money or simply don't care about the limitations of this robotic there are many alternatives available with a wide range of eufy models for substantially less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and provides a similar in-app experience with more features like stair climbing, a full-function dock, and better overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

eufy, an Anker company is a long-standing leader of making robot vacuums that strike the right balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for hard and carpeted flooring, and mopping capabilities at an affordable price. It's simple to set up simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch it on and plug in the charging dock. The app takes you through a few steps to connect it to Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to leave the dock close to an electrical outlet and ample space to allow it to move but.

The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be exact It will fit under many couches and other low-clearance furniture. Its design is more subtle when compared to rival models. It features a sleek black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs an area in a spiral fashion over two minutes) Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.

The most important characteristic that makes the G30 apart from most competitors is the way it cleans. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of immovable objects in its path while retaining what it's cleaned and where it can't access. It then returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning the area it left.

The eufy G30 has a few flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better built, incurs lower recurring costs, is charged faster and offers similar battery life, while providing better performance on floors with no carpet and low-pile carpet. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as frequently and comes with the boundary strips to ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30, on the other hand, is more affordable and a lot more manageable to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't require as frequent emptying and it struggles less with bulky material such as cereal.
