Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Robot vacuums and mops have become more efficient, passing our tests for cleaning and taking on various floor types. Select models that allow users to select between different modes, including self-emptying and clean stairs.

Many of the best models are compatible with smartphones. Look for an app that lets you save maps, schedules, and select cleaning modes.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

The gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is among the most impressive mop and robot vacuum combos available. It makes use of lidar to navigate, create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set schedules and customize the S1's behavior.

When I tested the S1 It was quick to identify the downstairs area, which has Linoleum flooring in the kitchen/dining room and bathrooms, along with medium-pile carpeting and a large area rug. It was able to drive close to walls and even across thresholds that are raised without issue. However, it had some difficulty getting down the stairs in one go. The S1 also did an excellent job cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving smoothly on the flat side against the floor and then lifting itself when it was near carpet or rug.

Before each mopping session, the docking station of the S1 automatically empties its dustbin and fills up its water tank with clean ozonated filtered water. The dock adds a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1 water tank can hold enough for 12 cleaning sessions, but this will differ depending on the frequency you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure that it's operating efficiently. You'll need to wash out the tank that has been contaminated to avoid it becoming blocked. Also, you'll need to clean the swivel wheels and sensors frequently to avoid them from getting blocked by dust or dirt. However, overall the S1 is simple to maintain, especially when compared to other combinations that require more care.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

Ecovacs all-in-one robot vacuum and mop is an effective solution for cleaning. Its robot automatic vacuum and mop boasts 8700Pa of suction and comes with many innovative features, including full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning that avoids obstacles and cleans around furniture. Its mopping capability is impressive. Rotating mop pads actually lift floors and scrub it, rather than simply dragging a pad across the surface. The mops are also cleaned and dried at the base station, as needed.

The robot comes with a simple interface that guides you throughout the process. It includes an electric hand vacuum that can be recharged for those hard-to-reach areas that the robot can't reach as well as two water tanks that are automatically emptied and filled when required. It also comes with a variety of settings that can be used to fine tune your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, with a strong suction that easily picks up all kinds of debris, including the smaller bits of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation abilities are also decent, but it can be stuck on small area mats and rugs at my home (which you can mitigate by creating virtual boundaries within the app). Mopping capabilities are very good with a pair of spinning mops which lift and scrub the floor, rather than just dragging the pad across it. The mops are cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station when needed. The mops are also refilled from the top of the base station when needed.

3. Dreame X40 Ultra

Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop were released earlier in the year. But their new flagship model comes with even more impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-free maintenance, making it a clear contender for our top mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a long side brush guarantee an efficient, customized clean.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing fine and large debris from both hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned our tests' most soiled areas efficiently, while keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other mess. The sweeping power of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush that extends to get into areas that are difficult to reach and a mop pad that extends across baseboards.

Its navigation is intelligent that can navigate narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without missing a step. It can move from one area to another without reversing direction which is a great feature for larger homes with many rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than its competitors however, and tends to leave a wide space over obstacles, which can result in missed spots.

The app features a simple user interface that is designed to be easy to use for both new robotic cleaner and mop experienced users. The app lets you schedule and control cleaning tasks. You can also adjust suction power, mop settings and look up 3-D and 2-D maps. It can be operated through the app, Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri and allows you to monitor its progress from anywhere. You can even remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. You will require a stable WiFi connection to run the app and external controls.

4. Roomba Q5 pro

Robot vacuums are excellent in removing dirt and debris, but they aren't able to reach every bit of dust. That's why it's important to make use of your regular vacuum once every week, and especially to pick up dust in corners and on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot vacuum that vacuums and mops that vacuums and mops, is designed to do exactly that. It's easy to connect it to your Wi-Fi at home network and works with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more practical addition to your daily cleaning routine.

The Q5 is a stripped down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, including the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It uses the same LIDAR mapping sensor, but cuts down on price by eliminating the mopping functionality and by using a cheaper plastic body.

The Q5 is one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping robots we've ever seen in this price range, despite not being able to clean your floor. It's got a powerful suction power of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system, which means you don't need to manually empty the bin every time. It also features a smart app that lets you set your floor type and schedule cleanings. It also has an automatic vacuum and mop robot refill of the water tank and wash system for hands-free operation.

Its mops are also impressive with its 2700Pa power to tackle dirt and pet hair on carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 is among the few robots we test that didn't have problems with carpets with high piles or area rug, but it was unable to pick up cat litter or cable tangles, which is no surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is one of the quietest robot vacuums we have tested. It also has a unique method to map your home, which allows it to get into places that other vacuums cannot reach. This device also stores dust in a larger bin which means you need empty it less frequently. It also has washable filters which reduces the cost. This robot can also detect carpets and boost the suction when needed. The app also allows you to mark areas that you want it to stay clear of and is a great feature.
