The dock adds a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1 water tank can hold enough for 12 cleaning sessions, but this will differ depending on the frequency you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure that it's operating efficiently. You'll need to wash out the tank that has been contaminated to avoid it becoming blocked. Also, you'll need to clean the swivel wheels and sensors frequently to avoid them from getting blocked by dust or dirt. However, overall the S1 is simple to maintain, especially when compared to other combinations that require more care.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

Mopping capabilities are very good with a pair of spinning mops which lift and scrub the floor, rather than just dragging the pad across it. The mops are cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station when needed. The mops are also refilled from the top of the base station when needed.

3. Dreame X40 Ultra

Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop were released earlier in the year. But their new flagship model comes with even more impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-free maintenance, making it a clear contender for our top mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a long side brush guarantee an efficient, customized clean.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing fine and large debris from both hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned our tests' most soiled areas efficiently, while keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other mess.
