The best robot hoover Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He tests and evaluates cleaning appliances. His focus is on mopping robots and vacuum combinations. These multitaskers can be a great option for those looking to get rid of mopping off their list of things to do. Some models have superior mapping and obstacle avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads for a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model to choose if you want an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other options and makes it easier to maneuver in tight corners or under furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery part way through cleaning.

It's fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways in just one sweep. Its suction motor of 8,000pa makes short work of picking up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it encounters rugs and the two side brushes help to tease out debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by much. The rotating mop spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is helpful in tight corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can be used to sweep up larger debris, like broken toys and fallen books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've used. It is quieter and doesn't create as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform its mopping function and is sold separately from the vacuum. It is easy to install, and it works well. However when you purchase this robot auto vacuum and mop solely to mop you must be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners looking to purchase an extremely efficient, flexible and ad-hoc cleaning machine.

The device is equipped with an efficient cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the home, detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and efficiently. This will result in an efficient, consistent clean that's also fairly fast.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards, and other hard-to-reach spots. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor close to the walls or other fixtures. In addition, the mop pads can be washed and dried to prevent build-up and reduce the smell.

App-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction strength and select either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it must make, which will affect the speed at which the device can traverse your home. You can also disable the side brush in order to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.

The device comes with a expensive price, but comes with a large selection of advanced features. It's important to remember that it carries regular costs, such as mopping supplies and maintenance. For instance the brushroll should be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad must be replaced every one to three months.

The robot vacuum mop has a high Amazon rating and includes an array of physical automation features. The best robot hoover vacuum also has a power button which doubles as a 'Clean' button' and a Home' button to send it back home after cleaning. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin, refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a busy professional or someone who wants a cleaner home without spending a lot of time on chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a excellent option. It's a top-performing device, intelligent navigation, and long battery life that allows you to keep your home clean with little effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop. It can do both mopping and vacuuming. It has two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir, and a separate mopping module with microfiber pads that snap into and out of position. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping but it does mean that you don't have to worry about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank of water.

Our test participants discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its best robot vacuum cleaner and mop feature is its precise floorplan map, which it utilizes when cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture, and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.

We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up hair of pets. It was able to collect an enormous amount of hair that our cats shed and even got into the nooks and crevices of our stairs while other robots struggled. The noise levels of the robot were low, and there were some lovely jingles that inform you that it was starting and getting its work done.

The biggest flaws were its simplistic app and the requirement to change out the modules whenever switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app is not able to keep multiple maps. This could be an issue if your house has several floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who want a device that can mop and vacuum.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, but it comes with some distinct features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its massive dock, which doubles as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a cleaning sink and a 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically empties.

The base comes with a couple of buttons for control, which allow you to manually start a cleaning task and then recall the robot or run the dock's automatic vacuum and mop emptying procedure. Press two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are concerned about their kids messing around with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni could occasionally get caught up in obstacles, like an electrical cord dangling across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you manually free it. Although this is not a common occurrence, it was a frustrating experience when it did happen, especially since the X1 Omni does not come with an "stuck" status alert on its application.

Another possible issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually switch between the two, which isn't a big deal except for the fact that mopping pads aren't washed and dried between uses, which can lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. It's also an impressive sight in an industry dominated by boxes.
