The upgrade option allows players to boost the gear rating of an item upgrader kit by up to 700 points and give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory before heading to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading because of their distinctive stats. (For instance, a perfectly roll breakpoint armor is used in melee PvP). Other items such as weapons don't change much after an upgrade, and aren't worth the cost.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats such as damage to attack, crit chance, PvE and damage from PvP. Weapons have a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. Many weapons also have a fixed bonus which is activated when three or more identical weapons are used in a unit. In some cases this bonus could add up to more than the amount of damage that a weapon upgrades by itself.

The cost of upgrading a weapon depends on its rarity and level. For example, a +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while an upgrade of +3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade the gun will increase until it needs an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.

Upgrades to weapons will also reroll the stats of their base. This is usually a good thing, but it can also have negative consequences. Upgrades can make things inaccessible, unless you're exceptionally lucky.

Armor items can also be upgraded to increase their stats. This can boost the base defense of a chest or helm, while belts and gloves will increase their required strength and agility. Armor also has an option to reroll its Enhanced Defense percent, which means that it could reroll to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading in addition to their relative values. This means that a change from a sword with 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in a weapon gaining 33% attack damage. The 3% does not mean that the weapon will be hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon is possible by pressing the green button in the item level upgrade menu with the circling arrows. This will reroll the item and alter its stats however, it will not reset the weapon's levels or tie it to the account status.

Armor

Making a few improvements to your armor can make a a huge difference in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets offer massive increases in poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, making the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. In general, the more defense you have on your character, the more health you'll get from each point. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your armor.

To upgrade your armor, head to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four in total and each one requires you to complete a special side-quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main quest and the corresponding fountains, you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels, and the amount of materials and Rupees needed for each will vary. You'll need anywhere between three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade the first armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, for instance can be upgraded to a +5 defense rating, which allows you to keep up in frigid conditions with a large group of foes. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other side, can be upgraded to +20 defense, which means you're able to withstand a rout with friends.

Be aware that armor can't be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you'll want to focus on upgrading it for physical power if you're Warrior or Spell Power when you're Mage. It's also a good idea to save your armor upgrades for armor you'll be wearing at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you use to fight the final boss, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

You can also get some benefits to your armor by giving the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Generally speaking, you'll want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer, but it can be useful to have a few upgrades of the helmets and chest armor that let you stealthy battle certain monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquid substances that, if consumed, give the player the illusion of status for a few minutes. There are five types of potions, each with particular effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to improve their effectiveness. Alternatively the effects of certain potions can be enhanced by adding glowstone dust or redstone to them.

Potion upgrades cost a specific amount of XP. These can be earned by crafting them using a craft table or the Alchemist's chest. The price of upgrades varies based on the type of potion as well as the item upgrader mod upgrader kit (love it)'s rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion, right-click on it in your inventory and select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI where you can choose the potions you wish to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll produce when upgraded. The upgrade of potions can be completed in batches of up to five at a single time, and the XP they provide will be added to your current XP level.

Once a potion has been upgraded, it will not be degraded until you use it again, or break the bottle it is stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change the name of the potion.

Version 1.7.2 introduced a few changes to the way potions are used. For example splash potions now have the duration of zero,08 seconds (this is not the same as the 22.5 seconds displayed on the hover display for the item upgrades). The table for potion can now be constructed using four Wood Planks and two Glass. It is now able to be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Unlike the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions cannot be mixed in cauldrons. Also, putting a potion on a full cauldron drains the potion and replenishes the bottle.

Finally, there are lingering potions that are brewed with splash and dragon breath potions. In the same way, a lingering potion' effect is extended by adding redstone to it. The potion table has been rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added like the potion of leaping and decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket could be an ornamental item that is small, cheap or piece jewelry. It could also refer to an object or decoration that serves a purpose but is not particularly important like a tiny thimble. In certain traditions, trinkets are used to signify friendship or affection, especially between family members.

Trinkets can be upgraded by players in addition to weapons or armor, as well as potions. Upgrades can be made by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets unlike other items which can be upgraded can be swapped at will without losing stats.

The upgrade vendors are located in major cities and the capital of each zone, as well as in some cases, dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be bought with tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.

Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to purchasing a new trinket. A player can upgrade a trinket for just 12 tokens. The new trinket has the same base level as the previous trinket however, it will also come with an additional 1% bonus upgrade.

Trinkets can be re-upgraded once they are no longer useful and allows players to increase their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players and are an attractive alternative to gold.

In general players should make upgrades to their top-priority items first. This typically means the top-of-the-line items for their class, then their secondaries and then other gear items that they will not be replacing soon (for instance rings or cloaks). Players should also take into consideration their class's preferred stats when deciding the items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to tank players then they should consider upgrading their chest, helm and shoulders.

When they are no longer useful, trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level. The new trinket comes with an additional bonus of 1. However, a re-upgrade is likely to cause the trinket to be destroyed until it is salvaged using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or an additional salvage tool of higher quality. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, but is still cheaper than buying the new one.
