The best robot hoover Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He evaluates and tests cleaning equipment, with a focus on mopping and robot vacuum combos. These multitaskers are an excellent option for those who wish to take mopping off their to-do list. They feature impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance, and some even wash and refill their mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you need to choose if you want a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It is smaller than other options and makes it easier to maneuver into tight spaces or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it one of my top navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery part way through an efficient.

It's extremely efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and the hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in one go. Its 8,000pa suction motor makes short work of picking up dirt, droppings and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it encounters rugs and the two side brushes help pull out debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency is less impressive, but not by a lot. The mop rotates at a high velocity and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scraping away dirt and staining. I've also noticed that the front arms protrude out a bit more than other robots, which is useful to get into tight corners and on baseboards. Those same front arms can also be used to clean larger objects, such as broken toys or books.

Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums that mop vacuums and mop I've ever used. It is quieter and doesn't produce as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to set up, and it works well. However, if you are buying this robot cleaner with mop vacuum solely to mop it is important to pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaner with a range of features.

The device comes with an efficient cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the house and identify furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean efficiently and intelligently. This will ensure an efficient and consistent cleaning, while also being relatively fast.

In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach an array of surface areas. This includes corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach spots. The side brush can be stretched to reach the floor near to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are also washable and dry to reduce odors and prevent buildup.

Another notable feature is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction strength and select either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also select the number of passes which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also disable the side brush to prevent damage to carpets and carpets.

This device is expensive however it has many useful features. It is important to keep in mind that the device is subject to periodic costs in the form of mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For instance, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad needs to be replaced every three to six months.

This robot vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and includes a broad array of physical automation features. This includes an energy button that doubles as a general 'Clean' button and a 'Home' button that will send it back to its base station after finishing its cleaning task. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who wants a cleaner home without spending a lot of time on chores The Shark Matrix Plus is a good choice. It is a powerful machine with intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home tidy with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop which means it is able to handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot has two modules: a combined dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping module with microfiber pads that snap in and out of place. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping might seem a bit outdated however, they mean that you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.

Our test subjects found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option of setting "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers, which can help to protect certain areas of your home from being cleaned with a mop.

We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up hair from pets. It was able capture a lot of the hair that shed by our cats, and even got into some of the corners and crevices of our stairs where other robots have struggled. It was relatively quiet and had some pleasant jingles that signalled when it was about to start or finished its work.

The app was too simple and you had to switch the modules every time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app can't contain multiple maps, which could be a problem for homes with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who are looking for a smart device that can mop and vacuum.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our test, but it has some distinct features that make it worth a look. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its huge dock, which doubles as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a cleaning sink as well as an automatic vacuum cleaner and mop 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.

The base also has a variety of buttons to control the system. These allow you to start a cleaning job or recall the best robot vacuum that mops or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Press two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognizing objects.

The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it gets caught in a hazard, such as a power cable tangled over a rug. It will not work until you remove it manually. Although this is not a common occurrence but it was a very frustrating experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni doesn't come with an "stuck" status alert on its app.

The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad, except that the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between use. This can lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a big change from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing appearance in a market that is dominated by bulky boxy models.
