Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
This is your time to own a robot vacuum. CNET's top models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday with savings of up to 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping using app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also self-empties itself and automatically refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. The most significant innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. It uses AI to identify objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot to provide you with pictures of the objects that it encounters, meaning you can tell the robot to stay clear of it.
The Combo j7+ is also the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app that allows you to schedule cleaning times and set up Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't sweep areas you do not want it to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it by speaking to it.
Its design is an improvement over the rest, with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy rather than a loud, loud one. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying which is great for reducing your cleanup time.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to clean up dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one location rather than sending it scattering around the floor. It was able capture small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a little grit. The majority of robots cannot achieve this feat. It did this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.
The j7+, though not as smart as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum robot vacuum cleaner industrial from iRobot, and it cannot clean the stairs, it's a good option for those who need both a vacuum and a mop. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
Although the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and at times it's hard to determine whether the update is functioning until you've seen it in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the best robot vacuum option is probably one that is a hybrid. This category of bots typically includes a built-in water tank, meaning they can both mop and vacuum your home at the same time. These bots also have a variety of extra features such as smart mapping and small object avoidance and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. They're expensive at retail, but usually come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock has some of our most loved robot vacuums and the Q5+ isn't an exception. It's their most affordable auto-empty model, and while it's not equipped with certain features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great option if you're willing to sacrifice a bit to save some hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeably soft around obstacles like tables and walls, which makes it a good option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a place where many robot vacuums that are less expensive do not excel in. The Q5+'s navigation is top-quality, with a few misses on walls and corners.
Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled by a few buttons on the device itself or via the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go areas and alter your home map, or re-label rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+, it ships with a new auto-empty dock, which was specifically designed to make this robot simple to maintain. It requires a screwdriver install, but once it's in place, emptying the bin is easy. It comes with a huge LCD screen, which is useful for setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't required for most people but it can help you effectively keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded best robot vacuum for tile floors mop and vacuum that's incredibly intelligent in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design and features are some of the best robot vacuum under 200 on the market however, it's also expensive.
It's a tiny base station that looks great and is easily hidden when not in use. But the station's biggest selling feature is the way it automatizes many tasks and functions that most other robots leave up to you. It can store clean and dirty water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Many other robots require you to perform this.
Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive, too. It's the few robovacs I've tested that do an excellent job of picking up debris on plain floors, and is not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes to navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it is prone to getting stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the house. It's also unable to climb stairs as well as other models and doesn't come with a dock to create a cleaning zone for plush carpets.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who need a robot vacuum that does everything.
But if you want to save money, or just don't care about the limitations of this machine, there are plenty of alternatives on the market with a wide range of eufy models for substantially less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and provides the same experience in the app, but with additional features such as stair climbing, a full-function dock, and superior overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy, a Anker company, has a track record of creating robot vacuums that strike the right balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for hard and carpet flooring, and a mopping function for a low cost. It's easy to set up by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock will need to be placed close to an outlet that has plenty of space to move.
The G30 is a small device that measures 2.85 inches in height, so it will fit under most couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious in comparison to other models. It has a sleek black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs an area in a spiral fashion over two minutes) Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform unscheduled cleaning.
The way in which the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from its rivals. It uses an integrated map to draw an image of the unmovable objects in its path. It remembers the things it has cleaned and what it is unable to access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning where it left off.
The eufy G30 isn't without its faults, though. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower cost of operation. It is faster to charge, has similar battery life and performs better on unfinished carpet or floors with low pile. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as frequently and comes with an array of boundaries to ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30, on the other hand is more affordable robot vacuum and is much simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't require as frequent emptying and is less prone to suffocating bulky materials like cereal.
