Are Item Upgrade Just As Important As Everyone Says
Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades can boost the stats of a piece of gear and, sometimes, even add extras. The value of these upgrades is determined by the levels of gear, their requirements and how many random augmentations can be applied.
The elite racial Shield Razortail for instance, is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorption function in PvP, and/or to provide additional defenses to missile-based build in the PvM. This makes it more tradeable than the non-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens allow you to roll a purchased item such as an armor, weapon or ring. This replaces the item with another of the same kind however with different benefits. Reroll tokens are an efficient method of upgrading equipment. They don't preserve the original level of the item, and any resources wasted will not be refunded.
The surviving players can acquire Reroll tokens in a variety of ways, including the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. You can also find them in crates and chests, or buy them from the store for $150 each. Reroll tokens are used to alter the attributes of an item of equipment, for example increasing the damage it can cause.
Players can reroll equipment in three aspects: physical power, spell power, and health. Upgrades to physical power boost damage from weapons and melee attack while upgrades to spell power boost mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades provide the player with additional health.
There are three kinds of Reroll tokens: upgrade rare and legendary. Each upgrade items elevates an item to a better quality and requires a higher-quality reroll token order to produce it. Upgrades that are enhanced require a standard item, while rare upgrades require a unique or a legendary item, and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
As opposed to other tokens or markers that are placed on action spaces the reroll marker stays in the space until the next Success result is to be rerolled. This is a way to prevent the waste of upgrades.
Blueprints appear as envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase and are opened by grabbing them using Interact. When they are opened, they will display an image and description of the Appliance or Ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged for a new Appliance or Ingredient in the restaurant's shop for the amount of coins.
During the course of a run, blueprints can be moved between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool as a result of the choice of Franchise Cards. This changes the blueprints that the restaurant's shop offers for rerolls and those that are located in the Non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
Weapons, armor, and accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that can increase an item upgrader mod's level by increasing its stats and abilities. Players can find these items by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the major towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell these stones for a cost. In addition, players can get these stones by signing daily contracts.
To upgrade equipment, the player must first locate the item and then click the "level up button". The screen will show a summary of the item's levels and what it will be after being upgraded. It will also show the amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade the item. The amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade a piece of gear will depend on its rarity. Most often rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, while uncommon armor requires just one green or blue Growth Stone.
Once they have decided on the upgrade, players must then select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the corresponding cost. Once the player has satisfied the requirements, they can select the upgrade option and apply the Growth Stones. This will increase the item's level by a specific percentage. Based on the rarity of the item, the upgrade process can take anywhere from seconds to minutes.
The upgrade process is risk-free and will not impact the durability of the item. This is a great way for players who want to get an edge in combat, but don't want to spend a lot of money. Furthermore, players can transfer the experience and progress of an upgraded item onto a new gear by clicking on the "transfer" tab.
The process of obtaining Growth Stones in Throne and Liberty can be daunting for novice players. There are a variety of ways to obtain these stones. You can complete contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, collect them from Equipment Stone Seal Book or find them in reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Additionally, players can take apart higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.
Leveling
Leveling is an optional feature that allows players to increase the base stats of weapons armor, helms, and trinkets. The Upgrade Station allows you to combine an item with upgrade materials, and then pay a fee in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The process will use up the upgrade materials and grant the item a higher level, granting the item upgrader mod an additional boost in that particular area. This process can be repeated until the maximum level of an item is reached.
Items that have upgraded base stats display a blue icon in their slot. Contrary to enchantments upgrade components cannot be stacked against each other, and can only be added to a single item at a time. Furthermore, each upgrade component will require a certain quantity of items to be used, as well as a minimum level for the equipment.
The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left, players can add an item upgrader kit that they wish to upgrade. On the right, previews show what the gear looks like at its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow once the player has enough materials will initiate the upgrade process.
A piece of equipment may be upgraded up to five times. Each upgrade, the stats of the base item will be increased by a small amount. The maximum level of an item is 19.
When an item reaches its maximum capacity that it can no longer have the option to upgrade. Likewise, once an item reaches a certain upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer), upgrades for the track will be offered at a discount.
Upgrade components are a form of equipment that can slot into weapons, armors trinkets, tools for gathering and weapons to provide an additional effect or bonus when the equipment is being used. They can be bought from vendors, looted or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be changed with new ones. However, this can cause the old upgrade to be destroyed.
Requirements
Item upgrades give players the ability to increase certain attributes of weapons and armor that they currently have. The requirements for upgrading an item vary depending on the type of item but generally, you'll need Dilithium as well as a few Upgrade Tokens (various options available).
Items can be upgraded by adding upgrade components to equipment and weapons. This will give them additional effects or an increase in quality of the item. These upgrades can be gotten from various sources in the game, including through crafting, purchased from the Trading Post or karma vendors or looted from bosses and raids, or collected from dungeons. Once an upgrade element is added to an item, it can't be removed and substituted without restriction, however the glyphs that are used in gathering tools can be swapped out without restrictions.
Upgrades can boost the Mark Level or Rarity. Some upgrade components also have additional modifiers that can boost the item's statistics.
The upgrade to the helm "Foundation of the Sun" for instance, increases defense base and provides an additional 20 percent chance to block. The dps "Wildfire" however, increases weapon damage.
Upgrades can be beneficial to certain items, but they are not because they increase stats. They are more valuable for the players when they get an exact roll. A perfect-rolled 200/6 500 armor set piece, for example is highly sought-after by the melee PvP communities and can be worth as much as 20-50 times that of the unupp'd version.
The game will show you the requirements once you choose the upgrade component that is incorporated into the item. These include the item type (either weapon or armor) and the tier of that item, the Upgrade Token required, and the amount of progress needed to complete the upgrade.
The game will put an item in your inventory after you've met the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will update to show how close you are towards getting the upgrade completed. You can also verify the status of an upgrade by visiting any item upgrader NPC.
