1. Roomba Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive cousin, the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums we have examined. They have top-of-the-line motors that can pull up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. Like other top iRobot models (including the top choice) they employ smart mapping technology to create precise floor plans and eliminate common obstacles like cords and furniture legs. They also come with carpet boost, a feature which boosts the robot's power when it sees the presence of dirt on the carpet, allowing it cleaned quickly.

Both the Q5 and the Q7 Max Series get very excellent scores in our tests on floors that are bare and are particularly effective in removing pet hair. However, they do have a few flaws, however, that prevent them from being our first option. One of the weaknesses of the Q5 is its navigation system doesn't feature AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's also prone to get stuck on shoes and socks, and it couldn't navigate rooms with lots of people well in our tests. It also doesn't have a camera that would let it see the corners of the room.

It's still a great deal, especially if your office or home has lots of unfinished floors and you want to save money. It's also very quiet and can be used while you're at work or going to school. The only thing it doesn't have that you won't find in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming of floors with no floor. And it's less effective at mopping, relying on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick on well and aren't able to handle dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying cradle, however. If you're in need of it mop, the mopping pad can be swapped for one that is wet in just a few minutes.

2. IRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming capabilities into an elegant, compact package. Its intelligent cleaning maps and fluid navigation make it simple to clean, and efficient in tackling larger particles like pet hair. It also has a self-emptying bin with powerful suction and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best robotic mop and vacuum robot hoover - simply click xn--b02bz7j.kr - for carpets, although it isn't as efficient as some of its competitors in deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mop utilizes sensors that help it avoid obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the patterns of your home over time to ensure cleaner and more efficient cleaning. The app allows you to customize zones and change the cleaning schedule. Its battery life is average compared to other models.

It is possible to instruct the X30 Ultra to remove its mop and extend them when in a carpeted room which prevents cross-contamination. Its flex arm is also perfect to get under furniture with low levels and along baseboards. It's not as effective on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

In tests during testing, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum cleaner vacuum/mop to complete the entire house with the battery at 66 percent left. It did a good cleaning job on various rooms and floors with various flooring types, including certain area rugs. Its obstacle detection was top-of-the-line, and it nimbly avoided fake dog socks, turds and cables.

It's a little more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but it has superior suction and an onboard bin that automatically empties into the base. It also supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can even clean the floor after it vacuums, a feature that we've not seen on other robot vacuum cleaners uk vacuum/mop combinations.

3. Roomba X40 from iRobot

The robot vacuum and mop combination has a sleek, circular design that looks more like a regular Roomba model than the boxy models from the rivals. It is one of our most attractive robot vacuums. The latest model from iRobot is also the most intelligent. It comes with advanced features, like Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that can wash mop pads in a self-cleaning manner).

It's also the sole robot vacuum/mop that scored an absolute 10 out of 10 in our tests. This is due to a mix of high-tech sensors, including a structured light system, a camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation autonomously. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mops.

As with other iRobot models like the X40 is user-friendly, with a simple mobile app interface, and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant. The only issue is that it's still quite an eerily noisy device that could be problematic if you run it in the morning prior to work or at night as you attempt to sleep.

It's also somewhat expensive, but it's not as pricey as Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra both of which are equally powerful and look better. If you're willing to put up with a bit more noise and some extra cost it's a capable two-in-one that should delight most.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop, with a lot of advanced features to help you forget about your chores. Like Ecovacs' range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-free cleaning machine that can take care of both mopping and vacuuming, with a multi-function dock that automatically emptys the vacuum's dustbin, refills its water tank and washes and dries its mop pads.

The smart robot utilizes LIDAR and structured lighting to map out floor plans and detect obstacles. It navigates more intelligently than its premium competitors. It also has a front-mounted camera to detect hazards in real-time but this was not foolproof in our testing and was often confused by power cords or other obstructions.

The vacuum cleaner has a maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than sufficient to do the job. It also comes with an attribute known as "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts cleaning frequency for different areas of the house depending on how dirty those areas are.

For larger houses it's recommended to choose one with zone or spot cleaning modes that allow you to instruct the robot mop to clean a particular area of your house using the app or voice controls. If you have furniture, a stair-mode is also a good option. Also a recharge and resume feature that allows your robot vacuum to continue where it left off is ideal for busy families.

5. iRobot Roomba RX3

The RX3 is a smarter cleaner than you might think from its price. It's a pro at cleaning, removing 55% of the debris that was found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops using a single pad that uses an oscillating motion that is cleaner than the other mop cleaners for robots we've examined. And it's highly self-sufficient with a fully-featured app as well as an auto vacuum and mop-emptying, washable base.

The iRobot application is designed to help you navigate an exercise in mapping, which gathers information on your floorplan and any "no go" areas that you have marked on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules, set up a spot clean or to sort out your rooms with the most dirt to ensure better performance. The app comes with a variety of features, such as seasonal suggestions, custom mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.

Its shape is more rectangular than most other robot vacuums, which means it can reach corners and under furniture more easily. It has a powerful 8000 Pascal suction, as well as clever combs for removing pet hair. You can also create a spot-clean that thoroughly cleans a particular area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a sleeker and less expensive alternative to the iRobot Roomba. It's got a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras look like cute eyes. It is excellent at vacuuming, however it is more likely to be caught in low thresholds. It is also noisier than other top robot vacuums we've test. It also has an app that is less intuitive and a small base station that can't double as a bin to empty.
