Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be added to armors, weapons trinkets, tools for gathering and weapons. They provide an extra benefit or effect when the equipment is in use. They can be purchased from vendors or other players, looted, obtained as rewards, or made using crafting materials. In addition to providing bonus attributes, upgrade items can also be cosmetically beneficial.

Infusions, inscriptions and enhancements are a type of upgrade components. They aren't generally accessible to the general public and can only be used on equipment that is ascended or on certain weapons that are not ascending from the Factions Campaign. Infusions, inscriptions and enrichments can be retrieved from equipment by using an Infusion Extraction Device or saved using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool.

Phoenix Boxes, unlike other upgrade items are able to be traded and re-used when still attached to the item they are upgrading. These upgrade items are the most effective way to improve quality of armor and weapon without spending Dilithium because they can increase the likelihood of receiving a quality upgrade by two times.

Upgrade components can be added to an item level upgrade however, the original one is destroyed (except for legendaries and ascended equipment). Upgrade components are only available to upgraded items that have an identification level of zero or higher. When you upgrade an existing weapon equipped with a suffix or prefix upgrade will display the name of the resulting item as it appears in the game (for example, adding a Radiant Insignia to Canthan Armor will cause it to be named Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). A player can only have up to three upgrade items at once.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be a valuable accessory to any item because they offer numerous unique advantages and boosts. Some Glyphs increase the number of affixes an item has, thereby increasing its effectiveness. These glyphs can be found through dungeons, and some can be found in certain World Tier 3 areas. It is important to note that glyphs are not available on a character who has not created a root dungeon with the same depth.

To use a Glyph you first have to create it with components and then connect them via anchors. The component will then automatically align with other components or paths within the same layer. If you don't want build the glyph from components, you can create it using a combination of paths and anchors. Drag an element in close proximity to the highlighted component to snap it into place.

Certain glyphs require specific conditions to be met like 25 Dexterity in a particular area on the Paragon Board. Some also require a certain number of Primary Stat nodes to activate and can be a challenge to achieve. Certain glyphs have a radius that grows with each level.

Glyphs can be used on a variety of weapons and objects, except for those belonging to a particular class. Some of these glyphs require conditions for instance, having a certain amount of Dexterity or Attack damage in a specific location on the Paragon board.

The Defend Glyph adds a 5% chance to deflect attacks from enemies. It also has an opportunity to make the Hero vulnerable for two turns.

Certain glyphs can also be applied to limited use tools, such as the Black Lion Chest and Trading Post. These glyphs contribute to the Combat Mechanic Achievement.

The most commonly used glyphs are the attack glyphs which increase the ATK substats of Artifacts with a flat value. These glyphs are especially beneficial for classes that rely on weapons with a range, such as Warriors or Rogues. Other glyphs include the Exploit Glyph which makes enemies who strike the Hero vulnerable to being damaged.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens are tokens that can be used to roll back one of the results when performing an Action. When the reroll occurs, they are thrown away. Reroll tokens can be obtained through a variety of ways, including through the dungeons, raids and skirmishes. They can also be purchased in the store or from other players. They are especially useful in dungeons and trials, since they allow players to play a reroll of rewards of the final chest.

For items at the level 1 there are recycling points. The upgrade gauge will increase by a specific amount of points each time you recycle an item upgrade. This number is determined by the rarity of the item as well as its level. Additionally the upgraded item will not keep its level after rerolling and the cost of recycling an upgraded item upgrader mod goes up with the level of the item.

The player may also use reroll tokens to roll an item. However it won't restore the item's original stats, or level. This is useful for players who wish to reroll a product they don't like, but want to keep it in their collection.

There are three types of upgrade tokens in the game: reroll, random, and upgrade. Each type comes with a variety of subtypes. Reroll tokens, for example are available in three categories: rare, legendary and enhanced. Each requires an item of the level of its respective to make an item upgrader Kit of that quality.

To make use of reroll tokens, click on the Satanic or Angelic item in inventory and select "Reroll Token". Select the type of token you want to use. The tokens available include Item, Weapons, Misc, 1hguns, 2hguns, and Focus. The Item token can be used to create a brand new Item in any quality. A Weapon or Misc token produces a new weapon of the same faction.

The item can be upgraded to a different item level upgrade with the same stats but is at a higher level. This is likely to happen when the item is placed in the Pool that is not droppable or has been transferred to it as part of a Franchise Card.
