WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item Upgrader mod by 3. A random substat is also boosted alongside every upgrade.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are less valuable for those with higher variance due to the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. However, the item used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks.

The cost of upgrades will be based on the current item level of the item upgrading being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment from other sources. For instance upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that are used to upgrade weapons and tools, armor and accessories. Players can purchase them through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners for a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any tool, weapon or armor. The button will show the item's next upgrade level, when there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the item upgrades slot, and the current item level. For example weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to reduce the cost of Flightstones or crests that are used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain level it is able to be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currencies.

item upgrades upgraders can be found at many locations including the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount and the chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases when more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players finish certain achievements or quests.

Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no upgrader for items at the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that are available to facilitate upgrades must be acquired through several methods, which is both an improvement but also a drawback.

In Season 3, the upgrade system was altered a bit, with several new features added. When a player has an upgrade to a specific item level for a particular armor slot, upgrading further items to the same level will be less expensive, even when they belong to another set of gear.

The amount of Valorstones needed to upgrade is reduced and the discount is affixed to all accounts. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players achieve certain milestones in their achievement.

Crests

Players have several options for upgrading their gear in WoW. They can use Flightstones, which are a common upgrade currency that is available to everyone players, or crests that are more specialized and used to upgrade specific levels of items. Crests are a crucial part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

First, you must be aware that crests are only available for gear that is of a particular rank. Each rank has distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and easiest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complex upgrade can require up to 20 crests, based on the type or equipment that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by completing tasks at the appropriate level. This could mean doing outdoor activities, or by completing dungeons and raids in all difficulties to get lower-tier gear or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons with heroic difficulty for endgame gear. Crests can be exchanged at an item level upgrade upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to obtain the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.

Using these new currencies isn't too difficult however, the system introduces some modifications to the upgrade process. For example, once a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it won't need Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is intended to allow players to upgrade their equipment up to the highest level possible on all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

It's also crucial to choose crests in a wise manner, as they have only one purpose. It is Best item upgrader to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the top-quality equipment you can locate, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is especially applicable to trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character which can only be eligible to take advantage of the account-wide discount when all of the slots are full of high-quality gear.
