The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. Its biggest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste that most other robots can't avoid (and often go through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of any object it encounters so that you can tell it to avoid it in the future.

The Combo j7+ is also the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, removing dirt and spills with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. You can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't clean in areas that you don't want. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it using voice.

The design is also more appealing than the other models. It has a sleek, high-end piece that looks like toys rather than the loud and annoying robot. The Clean Base automatic floor vacuum Dirt Disposal System automatically empty and is ideal to speed up cleaning.

In our tests, we found that the j7+ swiftly eliminated dirt, dust and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one place rather than sending it scattering across the floor. It was able to collect small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a little grit. The majority of robots cannot achieve this feat. It did all this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.

While it's not quite as efficient as the Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs, the j7+ is still an excellent choice for those who require both mopping and a vac in their home. It's not expensive and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take a while to download updates, and sometimes it's difficult to know whether the update actually working until you see it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for a robotic vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean your floors then a hybrid is the best robot vacuum for vinyl plank floors option. This category of bots typically has a built-in water tank which means they can mop and vacuum your home simultaneously. They also have a range of additional features, such as smart vacuum cleaner mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. The downside is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.

Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our favorite robotic vacuums and the Q5+ doesn't disappoint. It's the cheapest model of their auto-empty line. Although it doesn't have some of the more luxurious features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories) however, it's a great choice when you're willing to compromise to save a few dollars.

The Q5+ is remarkably gentle when it comes down to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it an excellent option for homes with many furniture pieces. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a area where many cheaper robot vacuums do not excel in. The Q5+'s navigation is excellent, with few misses along walls and in corners.

Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled with a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. Through the app, you can begin and stop cleanings, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and modify your home map or change the labeling of rooms.

If you opt for the Q5+, it comes with a brand new auto-empty dock, which was specifically designed to make the robot simple to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once in place it can be accomplished easily. It comes with a huge LCD screen which is helpful for setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't required for everyone, however it can help you easily keep the robot vacuum sale's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of vacuuming and mopping. Its design is one of the top in the market however it's quite expensive.

Its base station looks good and hides it when not in use, and its size is relatively compact. But the station's biggest selling factor is its ability to automate numerous tasks and functions that most other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot fully charged and clean.

And its vacuuming is impressive and efficient, too. It's the few robovacs I've tested that does a really good job of cleaning up debris from unfinished floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

But the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robot vacuums robot. This means it could get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It's not able navigate stairs as well as competitors, for instance, and it doesn't have an dock that allows you to create an exclusive cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.

Although it doesn't have as many in terms of cleaning-related options in its app, or as many shortcuts in the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for an all-around great mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the price price.

But if you want to save some money, or just don't care about the limitations of this robot, there are plenty of other great choices available, including a lot of eufy models that cost significantly less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and offers an identical experience on the app with more features like stair climbing, a full-function dock, and a better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac g30

Eufy, a Anker company, has a track record of producing robot vacuums that strike the right balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning on hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at a price that is affordable. It's easy to set up, just attach one of the side brushes and then turn it on. Then connect the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock should be placed near an outlet and have plenty of space to move.

The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be precise, which means it can be placed under sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design is more subtle in comparison to other models. It has a sleek black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs an area in a spiral fashion over two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform unscheduled cleaning.

The way in which the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from other models. It uses a built-in map to create an image of non-movable objects that are in its path and then keeps track of what it has already cleaned and where it can't access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge and continues cleaning the area it left.

The eufy G30 isn't without faults, though. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more constructed, has lower recurring costs, is charged more quickly and has the same battery life, while providing better performance on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as often and comes with a set of boundary strips to keep it away from certain areas. The G30 on the other hand, is more affordable and a lot easier to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't need to be emptied as frequently and it's less difficulty handling bulky products like cereal.
