1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most intelligent robot vacuum to date. Its most notable advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. This uses AI to identify objects like charging cords and shoes. It's also the first to automatically send you a photo of an object it encounters so you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt effortlessly while leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app that allows you to schedule cleaning times and create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum areas you don't want it to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop by speaking to it.
The design is also superior to the other models. It features a sleek, high-end piece that resembles a toy rather than the loud and annoying robot. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System self-empties, which is great for reducing your cleanup time.
In our tests, we found that the j7+ was quick to eliminated dirt, dust and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in its place instead of scattering it across the floor. It even was able to take small gravel and sand which other robots aren't able to do. And it did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair shedding.
The j7+, though not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba S9and Self-Emptying Vacuum robot vacuum cleaner best from iRobot and cannot clean the stairs, is an option for those who want both mopping and vacuum. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take a long time to download updates, and often it's hard to determine if the update is actually working until you've seen it in the action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than simply clean your floors then a hybrid is the ideal choice. These robots come with a water tank, so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. They also come with various additional features, including smart mapping and small object avoidance and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. They're costly at full retail but often lower prices on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock makes some of our favorite robotic vacuums and the Q5+ does not disappoint. This is the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. Although it might not come with some of the premium features (like no-go areas and multi-story memories) but it's an excellent option for those who are willing to make some compromises to save a few dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeable soft around obstacles like tables and walls and walls, which makes it an excellent choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a place where many robot vacuums that are less expensive fall short. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is excellent and has very few misses in corners and on walls.
The Q5+, like other Roborock products, can be controlled by just a few buttons on the device or through the Roborock App. Through the app, you can begin and stop cleanings, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and modify your home map or re-label rooms.
If you decide to go with the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto-empty dock specifically designed to make this robot simple to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once in place emptying the bin can be done easily. It also comes with an impressive LCD display, which is nice to have when you're setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't essential for everyone, but it can help you to keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly clever in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and function are among the best robovac on the market however it's expensive.
It's a tiny base station that looks stunning and can be hidden when not in use. The main reason to buy the station is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, chores and functions that other robots leave to you. It can keep clean and dirty water and electrolyze and heat the water. Many other robots require you to do this.
Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive, too. It's one of the few best robot vacuums vacuums I've tested that does a really good job of collecting debris from unfinished floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robotvacs. This means it is prone to getting stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It's not able climb stairs as well as some competitors, and it doesn't have a dock that lets you to create an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets with plush padding.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum cleaner black friday vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who want an automated vacuum that can do everything.
However, if you're looking to save some cash or don't want to think about the limitations of this robot there are many alternatives on the market which include a variety of eufy models priced significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and offers a similar in-app experience with more features like the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and a better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy is an Anker company with an established track record of making robot vacuums that offer the perfect combination of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on hard and carpeted flooring, and a mopping function at a reasonable price. It's easy to set up, just snap one of the side brushes on, turn it on and plug in the charging dock. The app walks you through a few steps to connect to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. The dock will need to be located near an outlet and have plenty of room to move.
The G30 is a small device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, which means it can be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design is less ostentatious than some rival models, with sleek black finishes and three buttons that are physical such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in a spiral pattern for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.
The primary feature that sets the G30 apart from most competitors is the way it cleans. It uses a built-in map to create an image of the immovable objects in its path and then keeps track of what it has already cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. When it's time to recharge, it automatically returns to its base, and then resumes cleaning from where it left off.
The sleek G30 has a few flaws. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower recurring costs. It charges faster, offers a similar battery life, and performs better on unfinished carpet or floors with low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't have to be emptied as frequently and comes with the boundary strips to ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't have to be emptied as often, and it has less difficulty handling bulky products like cereal.
