The i3+ doesn't have obstacle avoidance capabilities like the i7+ or any other top rated robot vacuum-rated robots we have tested. It can be stuck on power cords and socks and have trouble moving between different surfaces, like rug and hardwood.

iRobot recommends you clear out areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, and include getting rid of any toys or clutter it might encounter. It's also an excellent idea to keep the dustbin and filter clean so that they don't become clogged with dirt. We were also impressed with the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. In our testing of the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors, and also handled dog hair (on carpet) quite well, clearing up 86% of it. It did not do well in avoiding taller items like cords or socks.
