World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

The upgrade of an item allows players to boost an item's gear rating up 700 points and also give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory and heading to the kiln.

Certain items can be upgraded to benefit from their unique stats (like an ideally made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) and others, like weapons, do not change significantly after an upgrade, and therefore aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats, such as damage to attack, crit chance as well as PvE and damage to PvP. Weapons come with a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. Many weapons also come with a fixed bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are used in a unit. This bonus may exceed the damage that an upgrade alone can cause.

The cost of upgrading a weapon varies on its rarity as well as its current level. For instance, a +2 weapon requires two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade the gun will increase until it requires more Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons can also alter the stats of the base. While this is generally an excellent thing however, it could have negative effects as well. Upgrades can make things impossible to use, unless you are very lucky.

The ability to upgrade armor items to increase their stats. This can increase the base defense of a chest or helm while belts and gloves can boost their strength and agility. Armor also offers a reroll option for its Enhanced Defense%, meaning that it can sometimes change its roll to a lower value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats it will gain when upgrading, along with the relative values of those stats. This means that the weapon will gain 33% attack damage when it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However, the 3% doesn't mean that it will be hit for 3 fewer times because it's an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon is also possible by pressing the green button on the item upgrades menu, using the circling arrows. The item will be rerolled and change its stats, but it won't reset the weapon's levels or bind to account status.

Armor

A few upgrades to your armor can make the world of difference to your survival. Certain sets can provide MASSIVE increases in resistance to poison, curses, fire, and magic. This can make it easier to get through difficult areas. In general, the greater defense you have for your character, the greater health you will get from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade items your armor.

To improve your armor, head to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four fountains in all and each one requires you to complete a specific side-quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've completed the primary side quest and mastered the fountain that corresponds, you can then speak to any Great Fairy to open up the menu for upgrading your armor.

The amount of materials needed to upgrade each piece of armor will differ. In general, you're looking at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent upgrade. For example, the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep pace with a good-sized group of enemies in most cold conditions, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded up to +20 defense, granting you enough protection to survive a full on raid with a few friends.

Note that armor can't be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you'll want to concentrate on upgrading it to gain physical power if you're Warrior or Spell Power if you're Mage. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades for the armor you'll wear at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you'll wear for the final boss fight and the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

You can also get some perks for your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. It is generally recommended to save these upgrades for the weapon that you'll use to win the game. For instance the Longsword or Battleaxe. But it's useful to have some upgrades to the helmets and chest armor so that you can get around a few monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquid substances that, if consumed, give the user an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five kinds of potions, each with different effects and durations. Some potions may be upgraded, enhancing their level of effect. In addition the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding glowstone dust or redstone to them.

Potion upgrades cost a specific amount of XP, which can be earned by crafting them using a craft table or the Alchemist's chest. However, the cost of upgrading changes depending on what kind of potion you wish to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level and Rarity.

To upgrade a potion, right-click it in your inventory. Then select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open a GUI that lets you choose the potion that you wish to upgrade, and the amount of experience they will offer when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total amount of XP you have.

Once a potion has been upgraded, it won't degrade until you re-use it, or break the bottle it's stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to change the name of the potion.

Version 1.7.2 introduced a few modifications to the way potions are used. Splash potions, for instance are now available with a time of zero, not the 22.5 seconds shown on the item upgrade hover display. The table for potion is now crafted from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Unlike the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions can't be mixed in cauldrons. Additionally, using a potentio on a full cauldron, it drains the potion and refills the bottle.

In addition, there are lingering potions, which are brewed with dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone is also added to potions that are lingering to increase their effect. The table of potion ingredients is now laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were introduced, including potion of leaping, decomposition potion, as well as turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket is a small and affordable ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also refer to an object or ornament that serves a purpose, but isn't essential, like a thimble. In some cultures, trinkets are used to signify affection or friendship, specifically between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons, and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. They can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. Unlike other item upgrades (Read Much more) trinkets are able to be exchanged at will without losing their stats.

The upgrade vendors are located in major cities and in the capital of each zone, as well as in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased with gold, tokens, or fragments from a rare trinket.

The upgrade of a trinket can be a cost-effective alternative to purchasing new ones. It is possible to upgrade a player for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will come with the same base ilvl as old one, and will have an additional 1% upgrade bonus.

Once the old Trinkets are no longer useful, they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase both their power and value over time. They can be traded among players, making them an alternative to gold.

Players should upgrade their most essential items first. This typically means the top-of-the-line items for their class, then their secondary items and finally, other pieces of gear that they will not be replacing in the near future (for example an earring or cloak). Players should also take into consideration their class's preferred stats when selecting the items to upgrade. For instance, if Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank, they should be focusing on upgrading their helm, chest, shoulders, and belt.

Trinkets can be re-upgraded to a higher ilvl after they're no longer needed, and the new trinket will receive an additional upgrade bonus of 1. However, a re-upgrade can destroy the old trinket in the event that it is not salvaged with the Black Lion Salvage Kit or an alternative salvage tool that is higher-end. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, however it is still cheaper than purchasing the new one.
