1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. Its most notable advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It makes use of AI to detect objects like charging cords and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of the object it comes across so you can tell it to avoid it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot vacuum black friday robot mop we've ever tested. It removes dirt and spills easily leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. You can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't vacuum in areas you don’t would like. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it by voice.
Its design is a step above the competition, with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robotic rather than a loud, loud one. The Clean Base automatic cleaning robot Dirt Disposal System self-empties which is great to speed up cleaning.
In our tests, we discovered that the j7+ quickly removed dust, dirt, and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in place, instead of scattering it across the floor. It even could catch small gravel and sand that other robots can't. And it did all this without getting tangled up in our pet's shedding hair.
While it's not quite as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs The j7+ is still an excellent option for those who need both mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly to use.
Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that use robotic cleaners. It can take a long time to download updates, and often it's hard to determine whether the update actually functioning until you've seen it in the action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking to purchase a robot vacuum that does more than just clean floors, your most effective option is likely to be a hybrid. These machines are equipped with a water tank, so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. They also have a range of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and even the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they tend to be expensive at retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock makes some of our favorite robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ does not fail to impress. This is the cheapest model of their auto-empty line. While it may not include some of the premium features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories) but it's a great choice if you are willing to make a few compromises to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is notably gentle around obstacles like wall legs and table legs which makes it a great option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a place where many robot vacuums that are less expensive fall short. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is fantastic and has very few missed corners and on walls.
Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled using a handful of buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, design virtual barrier and no-go areas and adjust your home map, or re-label rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+ it includes a new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once it's in place the process of emptying the bin is relatively simple. It also has an impressive LCD display, which is nice to have when you're setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't essential for most people however it can help you effectively keep track of the robot cleaning machine's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design and function are among the top available however, it's also expensive.
The base station is attractive and is easily hidden when not in use, and its dimensions are quite small. The station's main selling point is that it automates many tasks, functions and chores that other robots have to leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot fully charged and clean.
Its vacuuming performance is also impressive. It's the few robot vacuums I've tested that do very well at collecting debris from bare floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
But the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs. This means it is prone to getting stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It also can't climb stairs as well as other competitors and doesn't come with a dock that can create a clean zone for carpets with plush padding.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who want a robot vacuum that does everything.
But if you want to save some cash or don't want to think about the limitations of this machine there are many alternatives on the market, including a lot of eufy models that cost considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example is a bit more expensive however it comes with more features, including stair climbing and a full-function Dock, that provides a better overall vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished carpets, low-pile carpets as well as high-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of producing robot vacuums that strike a good balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning on hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at an affordable price point. It's easy to setup simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app takes you through a few steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. The dock will need to be placed near an outlet with plenty of space to move.
The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be exact, which means it can be placed under couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design is more subtle when compared to rival models. It is sleek with a black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern over two minutes) Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.
The most important aspect that makes the G30 above the rest is the method it cleans. It uses a built-in map to create an image of immovable objects it encounters while retaining what it's cleaned and where it can't access. It then returns to the base to recharge and continues cleaning the area it left.
The eufy G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better built, incurs lower recurring costs, is charged more quickly and has the same battery life. It also offers superior performance on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't have to be emptied as often and comes with an array of boundaries that restrict it from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't need emptying as often and it has less trouble with heavy materials like cereal.
