World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses like damage from PvE and crit chance.

For instance an item with the upgrade template that ends in % will take on 3% attack damage every time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the level of the item rises.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into armor, weapons and trinkets to give an additional stat boost or effect while they're in use. They can be obtained through making crafts, buying from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades also come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to equipment that has a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to blue before a component can be applied. In contrast to other mods components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a specific kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment as well as the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it's used on (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of the equipment with less Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the defense or attack attributes of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear, or by purchasing them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals per.

The player can get the maximum of five boost upgrades at one time. Each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of the item will be available during the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue upgrading their gear even if they're not sure of the extent to which it will improve following a subsequent reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be expensive, and it is possible that the item will be obsolete, or even break, if the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items that can increase or even eliminate the chance of failure, and some upgrades that provide an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs boost the power of all nodes in the area around them as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded a variety of ways, and we recommend getting them to level 15 as soon as you can.

In the final game you'll find that the best way to enhance your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and offer a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes faster.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions are the most popular. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced with the aid of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs, you will need to place them on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.

Glyphs boost all nodes that are connected to them, so it is best to place Glyphs in key locations on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrade system allows players to boost the power of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is commonly known as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level requires a different amount of components and the cost of upgrading increase as the item upgrades gets leveled up.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained from the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or bought from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields several Technology Points. These points can be used to upgrade the item, and once enough points have been earned, the upgrade will be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player upgrades an item to a higher level, the original item is replaced by a new item of the same type. The same armor will receive a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set bonus. This can be a disadvantage because it can make the item more expensive if you don't need it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do this. The item will be replaced by a brand new one that has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This is a good idea but it should not be repeated often since it can waste resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value, allowing players to customize their equipment. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and exits water (or does not swim as a dolphin). This item can be upgraded many times and increases the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is extremely important in PvP. A well-rolled version could be worth up to 50x the value of its unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to increase the level of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by offering the appropriate items and currency to an NPC who upgrades items. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of the piece, whereas upgrading weapons will increase the base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, except for hero gear, which can be upgraded up to eight times. Each time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it has a chance of failing. The failure rate increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures can result in the item returning to its initial state and the player having to spend additional items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar on the bar for growth will be reset to zero. Additionally, the item will lose any gained bonuses such as crit chance, attack damage, and all additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or reload speed). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it gains a crit chance increase, the increase will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the item definition and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is based on its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its value. For example an item that is commonplace could have five upgrades at a cost. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items could have different upgrade requirements from normal equipment. For instance they might require less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. Whatever the case, players will have to visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. Each upgrade of equipment requires different amounts of ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the costs that are listed above.
