The upgrade of gear can increase its base stats, and sometimes increases its other features. The value of these upgrade is determined by the gear's tiers, their requirements, and how many random augmentations are applied.
For example, the elite racial shield Razortail is often upgraded to enhance its lightning absorb capability in PvP, or to add additional defenses to missile-based builds in PvM. This makes it more exchangeable than the un-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens permit you to roll a purchased item like a weapon, armor or ring. The item is replaced by an identical item, but with different benefits. Reroll tokens are an affordable method of upgrading gear. They don't maintain the original level of the item and any wasted resources won't get compensated.
Reroll tokens can be obtained by survivors via a variety of methods such as the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in chests and crates, or purchased from the market for 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to change an attribute of an item for example, increasing its damage or granting it a brand new stat.
Players can reroll their equipment using three aspects that include physical power, magical power and health. Upgrades to physical power increase the damage of melee and weapons attack while upgrades to spell power upgrade mage attacks and the ring. Health upgrades give the player additional health.
There are three types of Reroll tokens: upgrade rare and legendary. Each upgrade elevates the item to a better quality. To produce them, you require a higher level token for rerolling. Upgrades require a standard item. Rare upgrades require an item that is unique or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.
The marker that rerolls, unlike special tokens or markers placed on action spaces, remains on the space till the next Success is being rerolled. This helps to ensure that upgrades are not wasted.
Blueprints appear as envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase and are opened by grabbing them with Interact. When they are opened, they display a description and icon for the appliance or ingredient. The restaurant's shop can exchange blueprints for a new appliance or ingredient for an amount of money.
In the end, blueprints can be moved between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool during a run. This alters the blueprints the restaurant's shop can offer for rerolls and also those that are in the non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to upgrade weapons, armor and accessories. These stones are special stones that increase the value of an item by improving its stats or characteristics. They can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the major towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell these stones for a cost. They can also be obtained by players who sign daily contracts.
To upgrade equipment, the player must first locate the item and then click the "level up button". The screen will show a summary of the item's levels and what it will be after being leveled-up. It will also display the amount of Growth Stones needed to accomplish this. The number of Growth Stones needed to upgrade the item is determined by its rarity. Typically rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, while uncommon armor requires only one green or blue Growth Stone.
After selecting the item to upgrade the player must select the number of Growth Stones that they want to use and pay for the cost. When the requirements are met, the player can then click the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will raise the item's level a certain percentage. The upgrade process can take from a few seconds to several minutes, based on the rarity of the item.
The upgrade process is also completely risk-free and does not affect the durability of the item. This is a great way for players who wish to gain an advantage in combat, but don't want to burden their wallets. Additionally, players can transfer the experience and advancement of an upgraded item to a new item by clicking the "transfer" tab.
For new players, it can be difficult to acquire Growth Stones. However, there are many ways to obtain these stones, such as contract completion and purchasing them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, collecting them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or getting them from the reward chests that are available during the Ancient Arena season. Leveling
Leveling is an optional feature that lets players boost the stats of their weapons armor, helms and trinkets. It is accomplished by combining an item level upgrade with upgrades at the Upgrade Station, paying a cost of Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The process will use up the upgrade materials and give the item an increased level, which gives the item an additional boost in that particular area. This process can be repeated until the highest level of an item is reached.
Items that have upgraded stats will display a blue icon next to their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments, can't be applied to more than one item at the same time. Each upgrade component requires an amount of items and a minimum level of equipment.
The Upgrade Station comes with two slots: the left is where players can place an item to be upgraded, while the right shows a preview of what the equipment will look like once it is at its next level. When a player has enough materials and has pressed the yellow arrow will initiate the upgrade process.
A piece of equipment may be upgraded up to five times. Each time it is upgraded the stats of the base item will increase by an amount of. The maximum level of an item is 19.
Once an item reaches its maximum capacity, it will no longer have the option of upgrading. Also, when an item is on the level of a specific upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer), upgrades for that track will come with a discount.
Upgrade components are a form of equipment that can be inserted into armor, weapons trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to offer an attribute bonus or extra effect while the equipment is in use. They can be purchased from vendors, looted or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones. For instance, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" improves base defense, and gives an additional 20% chance of blocking. Additionally, the dps upgrade item "Wildfire" boosts weapon damage.
Upgrades can be beneficial to some items, but not because they boost stats. They are more valuable to players when they get an exact roll. A perfectly rolled 200/6500 armor set piece, for instance is highly coveted by melee PvP communities and could be worth up to 20-50 times the value of an unupp'd counterpart.
When you select an upgrade component to slot into an item the game will show an open window that displays the requirements required for that item. These include the item type (either weapon or armor) the tier of the item as well as the upgrade Token needed, and the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade.
The game will add an item in your inventory after you have met the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will update to show you how far to getting the upgrade completed. You can also check the status of an upgrade by going to any item upgrader (related resource site) NPC.
