The Best Robot Hoover

The best robot hoover (writes in the official Kelkoogroup blog) can vacuum and mop without needing your attention, and it will leave your floors spotless. Its price is affordable and its high-end functions (such as a dirt detectors) are positives.

Be sure to inspect your robot's brushes for tangled hair and large debris and clean them as needed. Some models also self-empty their onboard dustbin into a larger bin at the base, which reduces the amount of fine dust released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro and its sibling the more expensive Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've test. They are equipped with top-of-the-line motors which can generate up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. Like other iRobots with premium features (including the most powerful model), they use intelligent mapping to design precise floorplans that avoid obstacles such as cords and furniture legs. The robots also feature Carpet Boost, a feature that boosts its power when it senses dirt on the carpet.

Both the Q5 and Q7 Max Series get very good scores in our floor tests that test for bare floors and are particularly effective in removing pet hair. They do have some flaws, however, that prevent them from being our top choice. One of the Q5's shortcomings is its navigation system does not have AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's also prone to become stuck on socks and shoes and could not navigate through rooms with a lot of people efficiently during our tests. It doesn't also have a camera that can see around corners.

It's still a great option to consider, particularly if you're looking to save money on a iRobot Roomba and you have a mostly bare-floor home or office. Additionally, it's quiet and can work while you're at work, or school. It's not equipped with the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming available in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective in mopping, relying on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick on very well and can't handle dried-on debris. The Q5 is self-emptying cradle, however. If you're required to clean the mopping pad, it can be swapped for one that is wet in just a few seconds.

2. iRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming capabilities into an elegant, compact package. Its smart cleaning maps and fluid navigation make it simple to clean, and efficient in dealing with larger particles, like pet hair. It also features strong suction and an automatic bin for emptying. It's the best robotic mop and vacuum robotic hoover for carpets but it falls behind some competitors in terms of deep cleaning.

This high-performing combination vacuum and mop uses advanced sensor technology to stay clear of obstacles and pet waste and it will learn your home's layout over time for more efficient cleaning. The app lets you customize zones and change the cleaning schedule. It has a battery life that is similar to other models.

If the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted space, you can tell it to take off and extend its mops. This will help prevent cross-contamination. Its flex arm is also ideal to get under furniture with low levels and along baseboards. It's not as effective on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

During testing, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop to complete an entire home, and it did so with the battery at 66 percent left. It did a good cleaning job on various flooring and rooms with different flooring types, including certain area carpets. Its obstacle detection was top-notch and it swiftly eluded fake dog socks, turds and cables.

It's more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, but it has superior suction, an onboard dustbin that automatically fills up its base, and supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It even cleans the floor after it vacuums it, something we haven't seen in other robot vacuum/mop combos.

3. iRobot Roomba X40

With a sleek circular design that appears more like a normal Roomba than the competition's boxy units this mop and robot vacuum is among the most attractive designs in our evaluations. iRobot’s latest flagship model is also its smartest. It has advanced features like Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company’s robot that can wash mop pads in a self-cleaning manner).

It's the only robot vacuum/mop to score a perfect 10 in our testing due to a mix of high-tech sensors that include cameras, a structured lighting system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that can completely self-refill and empty its base station and it has an its own self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40 as with other iRobot products, is simple to operate. It comes with an easy mobile application interface and integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only downside is that the X40 still a loud unit. This could be a problem in mornings prior to work or in the evening when you're trying to sleep.

It's also a bit expensive, although it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs Omni or Roborock's S8 MaxV Ultra, both of which are similarly capable and more attractive. If you're willing to put up some more volume and some additional cost this is a capable two-in-one that should satisfy most people.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the high-end robot mop and vacuum. It comes with a variety of advanced features that help you forget your chores. Similar to Ecovacs' range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-free cleaning machine that takes care of both mopping and vacuuming. It comes with a multi-function dock that automatically empty the vacuum's trash bin, refills its water tank, and washes and dries its mop pads.

The smart robot vacuum that vacuums and mops employs the combination of LIDAR and structured light to draw out floor plans and identify obstacles, navigating more intelligently than some of its premium rivals. It also comes with a front-mounted camera that can detect hazards in real-time, though this wasn't 100% reliable in our tests and could be confused with obstructions or power cords.

The vacuum cleaner comes with an maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than sufficient to accomplish the task. It also has "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the intensity at which the vacuum works and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for various areas of the house depending on the degree of dirt they tend to be.

For larger homes, it's worth opting for models that has zone or spot cleaning modes that allow you to tell the robot to clean a specific area of your home using the app or voice controls. If you have lots of furniture, a stairway mode is also useful. For families that are busy, a recharge feature and resume feature that permits your robot vacuum to resume where it left off could be very useful.

iRobot RX3

The RX3 is a cleaner with more intelligence than you would expect from its price tag. It has a great vacuuming performance and picked up 55% debris in our tests. (It was only second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses using one pad and a reciprocating movement that cleans better that most of the robot mop cleaners that we've tried. And it's highly self-sufficient with a fully-featured app as well as an auto-emptying washable base.

The iRobot application is designed to help you navigate a mapping run which collects information about your floorplan as well as any "no go" areas you've marked on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules, plan an area for cleaning or to prioritise your dirtiest rooms to ensure better performance. The app has a range of features, including seasonal suggestions, custom mapping and advanced cleaning settings.

It also has the ability to reach corners and under furniture more easily because its shape is more rectangular. It also has a powerful 8000 Pascal suction and combs with intelligent technology for pet hair. And you can set up a spot cleaning that scours a specific area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek and less expensive alternative to iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras resemble cute eyes. It is excellent at vacuuming, but it is more likely to be stuck on low thresholds. It also has a higher noise than other top robot vacuum that vacuums and mops vacuums that we've test. It also has an app that's less intuitive and has a tiny base station that does not double as a bin to empty.
