Upgrades to gear increase its base stats, and sometimes enhances its extras. The value of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements, and the number of random augmentations applied.

The elite racial Shield Razortail for instance, is often upgraded to increase its lightning absorption capabilities in PvP and/or provide additional defenses to missile-based build in the PvM. This makes it more tradeable than the un-upgraded version.

Reroll Tokens

There are three types of Reroll tokens: upgrade, rare, and legendary. Each of these upgrades the item to a better quality. To create them, you'll need an upgrade level reroll token. Upgrades require a common item. Rare upgrades require items that are either exclusive or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.

Unlike other special tokens and markers that are placed on action spaces, the reroll marker remains on the spot until the next success result is to be rerolled. This helps to prevent the waste of upgrades.

Blueprints are envelopes that appear at the start of each preparation phase. They can be opened with Interact by grasping them. Most often, rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas uncommon armor requires just one green or blue Growth Stone.

After choosing the item to upgrade, the player has to select the number of Growth Stones that they want to use and pay the cost. Once the player has satisfied the requirements, they can hit the upgrade button and apply the Growth Stones. The item will be raised in level a certain percentage. Depending on the rarity of the item and rarity, the upgrade process could take between seconds and minutes.

The upgrade process also is risk-free, and does not impact the longevity of the item. This is a great way for players who want to gain an advantage in battle but don't want burden their wallets.
