WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you an increase in certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item upgrades by 3. Each upgrade also increases a random substat.

The upgraded gear typically has a more value in trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variation (like the eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrade upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any type of armor or weapons. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities and is accessible at any time to upgrade your gear. To keep your gear current it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every several weeks.

The cost of upgrades will vary based on the current level of the equipment being upgraded but they will always be cheaper than buying new gear from other sources. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that are used to level up weapons tools, armor, and accessories. They can be purchased from item upgraders NPCs in a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any tool, weapon or armor. The button will display the preview of an item upgrade's next level of upgrade, if there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the item slot, and the current level of the item. For instance weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with certain upgrades offering discounts to reduce the cost of the Flightstones or crests used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain level, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.

Upgraders for items are available in a variety of locations including the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount as well as a chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases according to the number of items being upgraded, and can be boosted by having players complete some specific achievements or quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at the beginning unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. Instead the NPCs that can be used to upgrade require several methods which is both an improvement but also a drawback.

In Season 3, the upgrade system has been altered a bit, with several new features added. Once an upgrade has been completed to a certain level of item for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same item Level upgrade (https://informatic.Wiki/) level will cost less. This is true regardless of whether the items are from a different set of equipment.

The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade is reduced and the discount is available across all accounts. Similarly, the amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is also reduced and is not available until players reach certain milestones in their achievements.

Crests

Players have a variety of options for upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1 and are available in four ranks.

The first thing to note is that crests are only able to be used on equipment of a particular rank, and that each rank has different requirements for upgrading. The simplest and easiest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complex upgrade requires up to 20 crests, contingent on the type or equipment that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by finishing content at the appropriate level. This could mean engaging in outdoor activities or completing dungeons and raids in any difficulty to earn equipment of lower tier or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons that have a high difficulty for endgame gear. Crests can be exchanged at an item upgrader NPC, like Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to obtain the appropriate upgrade paths and steps.

The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, but it will bring some changes to the process of upgrading. For example, once an item reaches the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest level possible for all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also essential to use crests wisely, as they only have one use. It's Best item upgrade to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the top-quality equipment you can locate and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is especially relevant for items like trinkets and rings that fill several slots. The discount on the account will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
