3. IRobot Roomba X40
The robot vacuum and mop combination features a sleek, circular design that looks much like a Roomba unit than the boxy models from the rivals. It's among our most appealing looking robot vacuums. The latest flagship model from iRobot is also among its most advanced. It features advanced features, like Enhanced Dirt Detection as well as future compatibility (another company’s robot that can wash mop pads in a self-cleaning manner).
It's the only robot vacuum/mop that scored 100% in our testing thanks to a blend of high-tech sensors, which include a camera, structured light system and multiple lasers. The vacuum cleaner comes with the capacity to suction up to 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to accomplish the task. It also has a feature called "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts cleaning frequency for different areas of the house based on how dirty those areas are.
If you have a bigger home, it is worth choosing a model that has spot or zone cleaning mode.
