World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses, such as crit chance and PvE damage.

For example a weapon that has the upgrade template that ends in % will take on 3damage to attack each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases as the level of the item upgrade rises.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons and armor in order to provide them with a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors trading, or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to equipment that has a slot. The item upgrader mod must be at least upgraded to a blue level before a component can be applied. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used once; they can't be used multiple times or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a specific kind of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it is used on (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions using fewer upgrade crystals than they require to achieve the same level with normal methods.

A boost upgrade can change the attack or defence characteristics of the weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear, or by buying them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals each.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of the item will be available at the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their equipment even if they are unsure how much it can be improved upon the reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process can be costly and there is a high possibility that the item will become obsolete or even break when it fails. A failure to upgrade can cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item upgrader kit. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items to double or even eliminate possibility of failure, and some upgrades that provide an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs buff the effectiveness of all nodes in the area around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in various ways, and we suggest upgrading them to 15 levels whenever you can.

It is commonplace to see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the most effective method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes faster.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and rebuilt with the aid of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values that it can improve a statistic by. The value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with an Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the many Glyphs, and there are also a few rare glyphs to be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that will boost a particular set of stat nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

The use of Glyphs Glyph will boost all nodes that are linked to it, and you should try to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. For example, a Druid should try to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes, but also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to improve the performance of specific items by putting upgraded components into them. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum of 385 ilvl. Each level of an item requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained from completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab of crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. When enough points have been earned you will be able to claim the upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.

When an individual player upgrade a piece of equipment the original item will be replaced by a new item. The same armor will receive an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also have a unique bonus. This could be a disadvantage since the item may increase in price even if you don't need it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, if the player has enough tokens to do so. The item will be replaced with the same item, but it is based on a level 1 base and completely different bonuses. This is a good idea but it should not be used frequently as it could waste resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or does not swim as a dolphin). It can be upgraded multiple times, each time increasing the maximum roll by an increment of 10. This item is extremely important in PvP. A perfectly rolled version can be worth 50 times the value of its non-upgraded version.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to boost the level of their available equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrading armor set pieces will also boost the defense base of the item, and upgrading weapon items will increase the damage base and required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear that can have eight upgrades. Each time you upgrade an item, it has the chance to fail. The failure rate increases the more you go over the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures will result in the Best item upgrader reverting to its initial state, which will force the user to spend more materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will be reset to zero. In addition, the item will lose any bonuses it gained, including crit chance and attack damage, as well as any other effects that are associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or speed of reload). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in the chance of crit it will be applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the definition of the item and the value is computed each time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are based on its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to its base value. For example, a common item might have five upgrades at a cost. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will have an incredibly lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items may have different upgrade requirements than regular gear. For example they may require fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. The player will still need to bring every piece of equipment they want to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each equipment upgrade requires the use of different upgrade ingredients.
