World of Warcraft Upgrades and item upgrader Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. They also boost extra bonuses like PvE damage and crit chance.

For instance a weapon that has the upgrade template that is ending in % will take on an attack damage of 3% each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost increases as the item's level rises.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into weapons, armor, and trinkets to provide an extra stat boost or effect while they're in use. They can be obtained through making crafts, buying from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be applied to devices that have slots. The item must be at least upgraded to blue before the component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a particular kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment as well as the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can be prefixed or a suffix that alters the name of the equipment to which it is applied (for instancefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level with normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the defense or attack characteristics of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed mechanic. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear, or by buying them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals per.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of the item will be revealed during the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear even in the event that they don't know what will be improved following a reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be costly and there is a high risk that the item may become obsolete or even break when it fails; a failure to upgrade can destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items that double or even eliminate possibility of failure, as well as some upgrades that offer an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of all nodes in their radius as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as you can to level 15.

You'll often see in the final game that placing Glyphs is the Best item upgrade method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without any restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the numerous Glyphs as well as some rare glyphs to be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have the desired Glyphs You will have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that can boost the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Using the Glyph will boost all the nodes connected to it, so you should aim to place your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids, for example, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might be able to place them near their most critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to increase the effectiveness of specific items by putting upgraded components into them. This is also known as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with a level that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum of 385. Each level requires a different amount of components to reach, and the upgrade costs increase as the item gets advanced in level.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained from completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or purchased from some NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to level up the item, and once enough points have been earned, the upgrade will be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player upgrades an item, the base item is replaced with a new item of the same kind. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item will also have its own set bonus. This could be a drawback since the item level upgrade may become more expensive even if you don't require it.

If the player has enough tokens they can reroll item upgrades. This causes the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will come with an initial level and a completely different set of bonuses. This can be beneficial but it should not be used frequently as it can waste resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to personalize their equipment. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or swims like a dolphin). This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the maximum roll by an increment of 10. This item can be extremely useful in PvP battles, since a perfectly rolled version of it could be worth between 20 and 50 times its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to boost the quality of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by providing the appropriate currency and items to an NPC who upgrades items. Upgrading armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of the piece, whereas upgrading weapon items will increase the damage base as well as the required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear which can have eight upgrades. Every when you upgrade an item it has the chance to fail. The failure rate increases the more you exceed the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original condition and the player having to pay for more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item is not able to upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it earned like the chance to crit attack damage, additional effects (such as increased heal over time or reloading speed). However, the player may still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

If an Best item upgrade is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon increases its crit chance that it will be applied before any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade--for example, a common equipment item may have five upgrades, each costing 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will have a much lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items may have different upgrade requirements than standard gear. For instance, they may need less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. Players will still have to bring every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each equipment upgrade requires different amounts of ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the costs listed above.
