The best automatic vacuum and mop Robot Hoover
The best robot hoover can mop and vacuum without needing your attention, and leaves your floors spotless. Its low cost and high-end features (such as dirt detection) are great features.
Check your robot's brushes regularly for tangled debris and hair. Wash them when necessary. Some models can also self-empty the onboard dustbin and deposit it in a larger bin at the base. This helps reduce the amount of fine dust that gets released into the air.
1. Roomba Q5 Pro
The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive sibling, the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums that we have test. They have top-of-the-line motors that can generate up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. Like other top iRobot models (including the top-rated model), they use intelligent mapping technology to create detailed floor plans that avoid home-based obstacles like cords and furniture legs. They also feature a feature called carpet boost that boosts the robot's performance when it detects a lot of dirt on the carpet in order to get it cleaned quickly.
The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored excellently in our tests on bare floors They are also adept in removing hair from dogs. However, they have a few flaws that keep them from being our top pick. One of them is that the Q5's navigation system doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance which means it's susceptible to become entangled in socks and shoes and couldn't navigate tight spaces very well in our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera to look around corners.
It's still a good value, especially if your office or home has a lot of unfinished floors and you want to save some money. It's also extremely quiet and can be used while you're at work or at school. The only thing it lacks that you can't find in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on floors that aren't clean. And it's less effective at mopping, using disposable wet wipes that don't hold on well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 does come with a self-emptying dock, though. And, if you need to change the mopping pad for a dry one in minutes.
2. iRobot Roomba X30
The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact, sleek vacuum cleaner that can also mop floors. Its smart cleaning maps and quick navigation make it easy to clean, and efficient in tackling larger particles, like pet hair. It also comes with a powerful suction and a self-emptying bin. It's the most efficient robotic hoover for carpets, but it isn't as effective as some of its competitors when it comes to deep cleaning.
This high-performing combination vacuum and mop uses advanced sensor technology to stay clear of obstacles and pet waste, and it learns your home's layout over time to ensure more efficient cleaning. You can modify the schedule of cleaning and even customize zones using the app that is well-designed. It has a battery lifespan that is similar to other models.
When the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted space, you can tell it to take off and extend its mop. This will help prevent cross contamination. The flex arm can be used to reach beneath low-lying furnishings and along baseboards. It's not as effective on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.
During tests during testing, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum uk vacuum/mop in the market to clean an entire home, and it did so with the battery at 66 percent left. It did a decent cleaning job on different flooring and rooms with different flooring types including certain area rug. Its obstacle detection was superb, and it avoided fake dog turds and socks, shoes, and bundles of cables.
It's more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, however it offers superior suction, an onboard dustbin that automatically emptys into its base, and supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can clean the floor even after it vacuums. This is something we haven't seen in other robot vacuum/mop combination.
3. iRobot Roomba X40
With a sleek circular design that looks like a regular Roomba rather than the boxes, this mop and robot vacuum is one of the most attractive designs in our reviews. iRobot’s latest flagship model is also among its most advanced. It features advanced features, like Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company’s robot that can wash mop pads autonomously).
It's the only robotic vacuum/mop that has an exemplary 10/10 in our evaluations, thanks to a combination of high-tech sensors, including a camera, structured light system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that is fully autonomously refill and empty its base station and it boasts the industry's highest suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop pads.
The X40 as with other iRobot products, is simple to use. It has an intuitive mobile application interface, and it integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only real drawback is that it's an eerily noisy device that could be problematic if you run it in the morning prior to work or at night as you attempt to sleep.
It's also somewhat expensive, but it's not as expensive as Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 MaxV Ultra both of which are similarly capable and better-looking. It's a dual-purpose vacuum that's extremely powerful, but it will cost you more and make more noise.
4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop with many advanced features that will let you get rid of your chores. Like Ecovacs' range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-off cleaning machine that takes the care of mopping and vacuuming. It comes with a multifunction dock that automatically emptys the vacuum mop cleaner robot's dustbin, refills its water tank, and washes and dries its mop pads.
The smart robot uses LIDAR and structured lighting to map out floor plans and spot obstacles. It is more efficient in its navigation than its competitors with premium features. It also comes with a front-mounted camera that can detect hazards in real-time but this wasn't 100% reliable in our tests and could be confused with power cords or obstructions.
Its vacuum has a high maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to finish the job. It also features "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates how hard the vacuum works and also adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas of the home according to the degree of dirt they are.
For larger homes it's worth looking for one with zone or spot cleaning modes that allow you to tell the robot to clean a particular area of your home by using the app or voice commands. A stairway mode is useful if you have a lot furniture. Finally, a recharge and resume feature that lets your robot vacuum pick up right where it left off is ideal for busy families.
iRobot RX3
The RX3 is a smarter cleaner than you'd think from its price. It has a great vacuuming performance and was able to remove 55% of debris in our tests. (It was second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops using only one pad and a rotating motion that cleans better that most of the robot mop cleaners that we've examined. It's self-sufficient too, with a fully-featured app as well as an auto-emptying, washable base.
The iRobot app is designed to guide you through a mapping run that collects data on your floorplan and any "no go" areas that you've marked on the map. It can be used to make cleaning schedules, set up a spot clean or to sort out your rooms with the most dirt to ensure better performance. The app offers a variety of features, including seasonal suggestions, custom mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.
Its shape is more rectangular than most other robot vacuums, meaning it can get to corners and under furniture more easily. It also has a powerful 8,000 Pascal suction and combs with intelligent technology for pet hair. And you can set up a spot cleaning that intensely cleans a localized area.
The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a sleeker and less expensive alternative to iRobot Roomba. It's got a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras appear like cute eyes. It does a good job vacuuming but is more prone to get caught on low thresholds and is louder than the other top robot vacuums uk vacuums we've tested. It also has a less user-friendly app and a small base station that can't be used as an emptying bin.
