The upgrade of gear can increase its stats base and often boosts its extras. The value of these upgrade is determined by the tiers of gear, their requirements and how many random augmentations can be applied.
The elite racial Shield Razortail for instance, is frequently upgraded to enhance its lightning absorption capabilities in PvP, and/or to add additional defenses to missile-based designs in the PvM. This makes it more marketable than the perfect non-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens let you reroll a purchased item, such as an armor, weapon or ring. This allows you to swap the item for one similar item and comes with a different set of extra bonuses. Reroll tokens can be a cost-effective method to upgrade equipment. However, they don't retain the quality of the original item, and any wasted resources aren't refunded.
Survivors may acquire reroll tokens by a variety of means, including from the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. You can also find them in crates and chests or buy them from the stores for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to change an attribute on the equipment, such as increasing its damage or granting it a brand new stat.
Players can roll equipment with three attributes, physical power, spell power, and health. Upgrades to physical power boost the damage of melee and weapons attack and spell power upgrade mage attacks and ring. Health upgrades give the player an additional level of health.
Three types of reroll tokens are available: upgrade, rare and legendary. Each of these upgrades an item to a better quality and requires an upgraded reroll token in order to produce it. Upgrades require a common item. Rare upgrades require items that are either exclusive or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.
The marker for rerolling, unlike special tokens or markers placed on action spaces remains on the space till the next success is being rerolled. This is a way to prevent the waste of upgrades.
Blueprints are envelopes that show up at the beginning of every Preparation phase. They can be opened with Interact by grasping them. When they are opened, they display an explanation and icon for the Ingredient or Appliance. The restaurant's store will swap blueprints for a new appliance or ingredient for an amount of money.
In the course of an event, blueprints may be moved between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool due to the choice of Franchise Cards. This changes the kind of blueprints that a restaurant's shop has available to reroll and which are available in the non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to improve armor, weapons and other items. These are special stones that increase an item's level by increasing its stats and abilities. These items can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the main towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell them for a fee. Moreover, players can obtain these stones by signing daily contracts.
To upgrade equipment to upgrade gear, players must first locate the item and then click the "level up button". The menu will be displayed showing the item's current level and what it will be after being upgraded, along with the required amount of Growth Stones to achieve this. The amount of Growth Stones needed to upgrade a piece depends on its rarity. Rare (blue), rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor only requires a single Growth Stone.
After deciding on the item to upgrade the player has to select the number of Growth Stones that they want to use and pay for the cost. When the requirements are met, the player can then click the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will increase the item's level by a certain percentage. The upgrade process can last anywhere from seconds to several minutes, depending on the rarity of the item.
The upgrade process is risk-free and will not impact the durability of the item. This makes the system an excellent method for players to get an advantage in combat without putting stress on their bank accounts. For new players, it can be difficult to obtain Growth Stones. Leveling

Items with upgraded base stats will display an icon of blue in their slot. In contrast to enchantments, upgrade components cannot be stacked with one another, and can only be added to a single item at one time. Each upgrade component also requires the purchase of a certain amount of items as well as a certain level of equipment.
The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left, players can add items to be upgraded. On the right side, previews show what the gear will look like at its next level. When a player has enough materials, pressing the yellow arrow will begin the upgrade process.
A piece of gear can be upgraded up to five times. Each time it is upgraded the base stats of the item will increase by only a tiny amount. The maximum level of an item upgrader kit is 19.
Once an item upgrade reaches the maximum level, its upgrades will no longer be available to it. Also, when an item is on a certain upgrade track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track ) they will be discounted.
Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that is able to be inserted into armors, weapons trinkets, tools for gathering and weapons to give an extra effect or attribute benefit while the equipment is equipped. They can be bought from vendors, looted or obtained through quests or traded between players. A perfect-rolled 200/6 500 armor set piece, for example is highly coveted by the melee PvP communities and can be worth up to 20-50 times that of the unupp'd version.
The game will show you the requirements once you choose the upgrade component to be incorporated into the item. These include the type of item (either Weapon or Armor) and the tier of that item, the upgrade Token needed, and the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade.
If you've fulfilled the requirements for an upgrade, the game will place the item in your inventory, and the progress bar will update to show how close to completing the upgrade. You can also verify the status of an upgrade by visiting any item upgrader NPC.
