WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boosts in certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless the item has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapons. However, the item used to upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create the enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities, and can be visited at any time to upgrade your gear. It is recommended to visit the upgrader every few weeks to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the item level, however they'll always be cheaper than purchasing new gear. For instance, upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from a different player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items that can be used to level up weapons and tools, armor and other accessories. They are purchased by players through item upgrader NPCs in exchange for various currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any tool, weapon, or armor. button, which displays an image of the item upgrading at its next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the slot for the item and the current item level. For instance, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with some upgrades having a discount to reduce the cost of Flightstones or crests that are used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and returned to the upgrader for a lesser amount of both currencies.

item upgrade upgraders can be found in a variety of locations on the main island, as well as a few outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon and the chance to obtain a new recipe. The discount for upgrading increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased if players complete certain achievements or complete quests.

Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II, there is no item upgrader available at the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead, the NPCs that are available to facilitate upgrades are acquired via a variety of means which is both an improvement but also a drawback.

In Season 3, the upgrade system has been modified a bit, and several new features added. When a player has an upgrade to a particular level for an item in an armor slot, upgrading further items to that same item level will cost less even when they belong to another set of gear.

The discount is available to all accounts. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is also reduced and is not available until players achieve certain milestones in their achievements.

Crests

Players have a variety of options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. They can use Flightstones that are a common upgrade currency that is available to all players, or crests that are more specific and consumed during upgrades on specific levels of items. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1, and come in 4 ranks.

The first thing to be aware of is that crests can only be used to purchase equipment that is of a particular rank, and that each rank has its own requirements for upgrading. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade is 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade can require up to 20 crests, based on the kind of equipment being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through working through tasks at the appropriate level. This could mean engaging in outdoor activities or doing dungeons or raids in all difficulties to get lower-tier gear or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons with a heroic difficulty for endgame gear. The crests can then be exchanged with an item upgrader, such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and paths.

The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, however it brings some modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece of equipment attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it will no longer require Flightstones. This is to allow players to get their gear up to the highest ilvl possible on all their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another notable modification is that crests have one purpose therefore it's essential to make use of them in a responsible manner. For instance it's Best item upgrader to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the top equipment you have and keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you plan on making. This is particularly relevant for items like trinkets and rings that fill multiple slots. The discount for the entire account will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
