The Top Item Upgrade Gurus Can Do Three Things
Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades can increase the stats of a piece and sometimes even its extras. The value of these upgrades is determined by the levels of gear, their requirements, and how many random augmentations can be applied.
For instance, the premium shield of racial violence Razortail is often upgraded to enhance its lightning absorb function in PvP or to add additional defenses to missile-based builds in PvM. This makes it more tradeable than the non-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens can be used to reroll a purchased item like a weapon, armor or ring. This allows you to swap the item for a different one of the same type, with a different set of extra bonuses. Reroll tokens can be a cost-effective method to upgrade equipment. They don't maintain the original level of the item and any wasted resources won't get compensated.
Survivors may acquire reroll tokens through several means, including from the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in crates and chests, or buy them at the market for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to change the attribute of a piece equipment, for example increasing the damage it can cause.
Players can roll equipment in three attributes, physical power, spell power, and health. Physical power upgrades increase the damage that melee and weapons while spell power improves mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades give the player an extra health.
There are three kinds of reroll tokens: upgrade, rare and legendary. Each upgrade items elevates an item to a better quality, with the requirement of a higher-level reroll token in order to create it. Enhanced upgrades require a common item, rare upgrades require a unique or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
In contrast to other special tokens and markers that are placed on action spaces the reroll marker stays on the spot until the next successful result is repeated. This lets you not waste upgrades.
Blueprints appear as envelopes at the start of each Preparation Phase, and can be opened by grabbing them using Interact. When they are opened, they show a description and icon for the Appliance or Ingredient. The restaurant's shop can exchange blueprints for a new appliance or ingredient for a small amount.
As a result, blueprints can be moved between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool when you run. This changes the blueprints that the restaurant's shop can offer for rerolls, and those that are located in the Non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
Weapons such as armor, weapons, and other accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that boost the value of an item by improving its stats or attributes. These items can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the major towns. They can purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a price. They are also available to players who sign daily contracts.
To upgrade gear players must first locate the item upgrades, then click the "level up button". This will display a menu that shows the item's current status and what it will be when being upgraded as well as the necessary amount of Growth Stones to do so. The number of Growth Stones required to upgrade the gear will depend on its rarity. Typically rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas uncommon armor requires just one blue or green Growth Stone.
After selecting the item to upgrade, the player must select the number of Growth Stones that they want to use and pay the cost. When the requirements have been satisfied, the user can then click the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. The item will be raised in level by a certain percentage. Depending on the rarity of the item the upgrade process can take anywhere from seconds to minutes.
The upgrade process is completely risk-free and does not affect the item's durability. This makes the system an excellent method for players to get an advantage in battle without putting stress on their bank accounts. Clicking on the "transfer tab", players can also transfer the experience and progression of an upgraded item to an entirely new piece of equipment.
New players may find it difficult to acquire Growth Stones. There are a variety of methods to obtain them, including contract completion and purchasing them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, obtaining them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or obtaining them from the reward chests during the Ancient Arena season. Players can also break down the higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.
Leveling
Leveling is an option that allows players to increase the stats of their weapons armor, helms, and trinkets. It's done by combining an item with upgrades at the Upgrade Station, paying a fee of Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The upgrade materials will be used up and the item will be upgraded to a higher level. The process will continue until the item is at its highest level.
Items with upgraded stats will have a blue icon next to their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments, cannot be added to more than one item at once. Each upgrade component also requires a certain number of items, as well as a minimum equipment level.
The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left side, players can place an item to be upgraded. On the right, previews show what the gear looks like at its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow when a player has sufficient materials will initiate the upgrade process.
A piece of equipment can be upgraded a maximum of five times. Each time the item is upgraded, its stats will be increased by a small percentage. The maximum level for an item upgrades is 19.
When an item is at its maximum capacity that it can no longer have the option of upgrading. Likewise, once an item is on an upgrade track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track ) they will be discounted.
Upgrade components are a type of equipment that can be inserted into armor, weapons trinkets and gathering tools to offer an added bonus or effect while the equipment is in use. They can be bought from vendors, looted, acquired by completing quests or traded between players. Upgrade components can be changed with new ones. However, this will destroy the old upgrade item.
Requirements
Upgrades to items enable players to increase certain attributes of armor and weapons they already have equipped. The requirements for upgrading an item differ depending on the type of item however, you'll generally require Dilithium and an amount of Upgrade Tokens.
The items can be upgraded by adding upgrade components to weapons and equipment. These will provide additional effects or an increase in level of the item upgrade. These upgrades can be obtained from many sources, including crafting, buying at the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting from bosses and raids. Once an upgrade component is inserted into an object, it is not able to be removed or replaced. However the glyphs can be swapped freely.
Upgrading an item can increase its Mark Level and/or Rarity. In addition, certain upgrade components have additional modifiers that can enhance the stats of the item.
The helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun", for example, increases base defense and provides an additional 20 percent chance to block. The dps "Wildfire" however increases damage from weapons.
Some items benefit from upgrading not so much for their improved stats and more for the fact that it allows players to get the most value from a flawless roll on the item. A perfect-rolled 200/6 500 armor set piece, for example, is highly valued by the melee PvP communities and could be worth as much as 20-50 times the value of an unupp'd counterpart.
The game will highlight the requirements when you select the upgrade component that is incorporated into the item. This includes the type of item (either weapon or armor) the level of the item as well as the Upgrade Token required, and the amount of progress needed to complete the upgrade.
The game will put an item in your inventory when you've completed the prerequisites for an upgrade. The progress bar will update to show you how far you are to getting the upgrade completed. You can also check the status of an upgrade by visiting any item upgrader NPC.
