World of Warcraft - item level upgrade Upgrading

The upgrade of an item allows players to boost the gear rating of an item by up 700 points and also add a bonus. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory and heading to the kiln.

Certain items can be upp'd for their unique stats (like an ideally broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) and others, like weapons, don't change much post upgrade, and therefore aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats such as the chance to crit, attack damage PvE and PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat rate bonus that increases damage per second. Additionally some weapons come with an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a single unit. In certain instances, this bonus could amount to more than the amount of damage that a weapon can sustain on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the rarity of the weapon and its current level. For example, an +2 weapon requires two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade the gun will increase until it needs more Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.

The upgrade of weapons can also change their base stats. While this is usually a good thing however, it could have negative effects as well. For items that only see use in a certain build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs for instance) upgrading them can render them unusable unless you happen to have an extremely lucky roll.

Armor items can also be upgraded to boost their stats. This can boost the defense base of a helm or chest while belts and gloves will boost their required strength and agility. Armor offers a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it may roll down to a lower value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats it will gain after upgrading along with the relative values of those stats. This means that a weapon will gain an attack damage of 3% if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% does not mean that it will strike for 3 times less often because it's an absolute statistic.

A weapon can also be rerolled using the green button, which is accompanied by circling arrows in the item upgrader menu. This will reroll the item upgrader mod and change its stats, but it won't reset the weapon's levels or tie it to the account status.

Armor

Adding a few upgrades to your armor can make a huge difference in your ability to endure. Certain sets offer massive increases in resistance to poison, curses fire, magic, and other. This makes it easier to get through difficult areas. In general, the greater defense you have on your character, the more health you can gain from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade your armor.

To upgrade your armor, head to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four in total each of which requires you to complete a unique side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main quest and the associated fountains, you'll have the option of talking to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels, and the amount of materials and Rupees required for each will vary. In general, you're looking at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and ten Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent upgrade. For example the Champion Leathers could be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep pace with a good-sized group of adversaries in most cold conditions, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded to +20 defense, granting you enough protection to withstand an entire raid with a few friends.

Be aware that armor can't be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll need to focus on enhancing it to increase physical power if you're Warrior or Spell Power if you're a Mage. It's also worth saving your armor upgrades for armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you'll wear for the final boss fight and the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

You can also unlock some perks for your armor by presenting the jeweler at Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. In general, you should save these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer, but it can be useful to have a few improvements to the chest armor and helmets to let you stealthy battle certain monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquid substances that, if consumed, provide the user with an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five types of potions that have different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded, increasing their level of effect. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by adding glowstone dust and redstone.

Potion upgrades cost a certain amount of XP. These can be earned by crafting them on a table or in the chest of the Alchemist. The price of upgrades changes depending on what type of potion you'd like to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level and Rarity.

To upgrade a potion to the next level, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI that lets you choose the potion that you wish to upgrade, and the amount of experience they'll give you when upgraded. Upgrading potions can be done in batches of up to five at a time and the XP they provide will be added to your current XP total.

Once a potion is upgraded, it will not be degraded until you re-use it, or break the bottle it's stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to change the name of the potion.

Version 1.7.2 introduced a few changes to the mechanism of potions. Splash potions, for instance are now available with a time of zero, not the 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the item level upgrade hover display. The table for potion is now crafted from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players in Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons like Java Edition. Also, putting a potion on a full cauldron, it drains the liquid and replenishes the bottle.

Finally, there are lingering potions that are made using splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone is also added to potions that are lingering to increase their effect. The table of potion ingredients is now laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were added such as the potion of leaping, the decomposition potion, and turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket is a small and affordable ornament or piece of jewelry. It can also refer to a small ornament or object that serves a function but is not important as a trinket. In certain cultures, trinkets are used to symbolize affection or friendship, specifically between family members.

Players can upgrade trinkets as well as weapons or armor, as well as potions. Upgrades can be purchased by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets, unlike other items which can be upgraded can be swapped at will without losing statistics.

upgrade items vendors can be found at the capitals of every zone and in some cases in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.

Upgrades are a cheaper alternative to buying a new trinket. It can be done by players for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will come with the same base ilvl as the old one, and will come with an additional 1% upgrade bonus.

When the old Trinkets are no longer usable they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase both their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players, making them an attractive alternative to gold.

Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This usually means the best-in-slot items for their class, then their secondaries and then other gear items that they will not be replacing in the near future (for example, a ring or cloak). Players should also take into consideration their class's preferred stats when deciding the items to upgrade. For instance when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank, they should be focusing on upgrading their chest, helm shoulders, belt, and chest.

When they are no longer useful trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher level. The new trinket comes with an additional 1percent bonus. However, a re-upgrade will cause the trinket to be destroyed in the event that it is not salvaged using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or an alternative salvage tool that is higher-end. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades but still cheaper than buying an entirely new trinket.
