WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the item level by +3. A random extra substat is also added to each upgrade.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like the eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are less valuable for those with higher variance due to the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each few weeks.

The cost of upgrades will depend on the current level of the gear being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than buying new equipment from other sources. For example upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points, purchasing a similar piece from a different player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items which can be used to improve the quality of weapons tools, armor, and other accessories. They can be purchased by players from NPCs of item upgraders for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be applied to any weapon or tool with an button, which will show an item's preview when it is upgraded in the event that the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the item slot and the current level of the item and the weapon's price is higher than gloves or bracers, for example. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of the Flightstones or crests used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.

A lot of locations offer upgraders for items in addition to the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount and the chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased if players finish certain achievements or quests.

In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II, there is no item upgrader mod upgrader available at the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that are available to facilitate upgrades require various methods that are both an improvement as well as a disadvantage.

In Season 3, several new features have been added to the upgrade system. When a player has an upgrade to a certain level of an Item Upgrader kit for a specific armor slot, upgrading additional items to the same level will be less expensive, even in the event that they are part of an entirely different set of gear.

The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade is reduced and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is reduced also, but is only available when certain milestones are achieved.

Crests

Players have several options when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an item upgrader kit that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more special and are utilized during specific upgrades to the level of an item. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1 and are available in 4 ranks.

The first thing to remember is that crests can only be spent on equipment that is of a particular rank, and each rank has its own requirements for upgrading. The simplest and simplest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complex upgrade requires up to 20 crests, depending on the type or equipment being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through working through tasks at the appropriate level. This could be by engaging in outdoor activities or doing dungeons or raids in all difficulties to get equipment of lower tier or Mythicbosses for raids, or dungeons with a heroic difficulty for endgame gear. The crests can later be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to obtain the appropriate upgrade routes and steps.

The new currency system isn't complicated to use, however it brings some modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece of equipment attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it no longer requires Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest level possible on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests with care, since they only have one use. It's Best item upgrader to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the top-quality equipment you can locate, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly relevant for items like trinkets and rings that fill several slots. The account-wide discount will only apply when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
