The World of Warcraft item upgrade system lets players increase the level of armor, weapons and trinkets. This process is largely identical to that of gear reforging in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor, but instead of using the appropriate currency players need to visit an item upgrader NPC to complete the process.
