Upgrade components
Upgrade components are items that can be put into weapons, armor, trinkets, and gathering tools to give a bonus or extra effect when the equipment is used. They can be bought from vendors or other players, looted, obtained as an incentive, or even created by crafting materials. Alongside providing bonus points Upgrade items also be cosmetically beneficial.
Infusions, inscriptions and enhancements are a type of upgrade components. They aren't generally accessible to the general public and can only be used on equipment that is ascended or on certain weapons that are not ascending from the Factions Campaign. You can recover infusions, inscriptions and enrichments from equipment by using an Infusion Extractor Device or by salvaging using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool.
Unlike other upgrade items Phoenix Boxes, unlike other upgrade items, can be traded while attached to the item that they are upgrading, and they can be re-used after they are salvaged. These upgrade items are the most effective method to increase the quality of your the quality of armor and weapons without spending Dilithium in the sense that they increase the odds of receiving a high-quality upgrade by two times.
An upgrade component placed within an item can be replaced by another, but doing so destroys the original (except for upgrades of legendaries and equipment with ascended levels). Upgrade components are only available to upgraded items with an identification level of zero or greater. If you add an upgrade to the weapon already equipped with a suffix or a prefix upgrade, the item will be named in the same way as it appears on the game screen (for instance, adding the Radiant insignia to Canthan Armor makes it Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). A player can only own up to three upgrade items at a time.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be a great addition to any product. They offer unique benefits and boosts. Some glyphs can also increase the number of affixes attached to an item, increasing its overall power. These glyphs can be obtained through working through dungeons. Some are even found in specific World Tier 3 zones. However, it's important to keep in mind that glyphs are not available on a character who has not been able to create an area of root dungeons with the same depth.
To use a Glyph you first have to create it with components and then connect them using anchors. The component will then automatically align to other components or paths within the same layer. If you don't want create the glyph using components, you can build it using a combination of paths and anchors. Then, drag an element in close proximity to the highlighted component to lock it in place.
Certain glyphs require specific conditions to be fulfilled, such as 25 Dexterity within a specific area on the Paragon Board. Some require a specific number of Primary Stat nodes to activate which is sometimes difficult to achieve. Some glyphs have a radius that increases as you level it up.
Glyphs can be applied to a variety of items and weapons, except for those belonging to a specific class. Some of these glyphs also have conditions, such as having a certain amount of dexterity or attack damage in a specific area on the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph boosts the chance of preventing enemy attacks by 5%. It also has the chance of 15%, making the Hero vulnerable for two turns.
Certain glyphs can also be used on limited use tools, such as the Black Lion Chest and Trading Post. These glyphs can contribute to the Combat Mechanic achievement.
The most common glyphs are the attack glyphs which boost the ATK substats of Artifacts by a flat value. These glyphs are especially useful for classes that use weapons that are ranged, like Warriors or Rogues. Other glyphs include the Exploit Glyph which makes enemies who hit the Hero vulnerable to being damaged.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are special tokens that are used to reroll the results when performing an Action. When the reroll happens they are discarded. Reroll tokens are accessible in many ways, like dungeons and raids, or through participating in skirmishes. They can also be purchased at the store or purchased from other players. They are particularly useful in dungeons or trials since they allow players to reroll the rewards of the final chest.
For items in the range of 1 there are recycling points. The upgrade gauge will grow by a certain amount of points when you recycle an item upgrader Mod. This number will increase based on the item's level and rarity. In addition the upgraded item won't retain its level when rerolled, and the cost for recycling an upgraded item rises with its level.
Alternatively, a player can use reroll tokens to make an upgrade item rerollable, but this will not bring the item back to its original condition or give it its original stats. This is useful for those who want to reroll a product they don't love but still want to keep it in their collection.
There are three different types of upgrade tokens available in the game: reroll, random and upgrade. Each type comes with several subtypes. For example, reroll tokens come in three different levels: rare, enhanced and legendary. Each requires an item of the respective level to produce an item of the same quality.
To make use of reroll tokens click on the Satanic or Angelic Best item upgrader in the inventory and select "Reroll Token". Then, select a kind of token. The tokens that are available include Item, Weapons, Misc, 1hguns, 2hguns, and Focus. Utilizing an Item token will create an entirely new Item of any quality. A Weapon or Misc token produces a new weapon of the same faction.
The Best item upgrade may also be upgraded to a new item that has the same stats but is at a higher level. This could happen if the item is in the Pool that is not droppable or was transferred to it as part of an Franchise Card.
