WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boost in certain statistics. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.

Upgraded gear generally sees higher trade value regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or very high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for the latter due to the need to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item upgrader kit is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks, to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item, however, they are always less expensive than purchasing new gear. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points while buying a similar item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that are used to upgrade weapons, tools, armor, and other items. They are purchased by players from NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be applied to any weapon or tool with an button, which will display an item's preview at its next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.

The upgrade cost depends on the item slot and the current item upgrades level, with weapons costing more than bracers or gloves, for example. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Certain upgrades provide a discount on the Flightstones. After an item level upgrade (simply click the up coming document) has been upgraded to a certain amount it is able to be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currency types.

Many locations have upgraders for their items, including the main Island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount as well as a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases depending on the amount of items that are being upgraded. It is also possible to be boosted by having players complete some specific achievements or complete quests.

Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no upgrader for items available at the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead, the NPCs that can be used to upgrade must be acquired through a variety of means, which is both an improvement as well as a disadvantage.

In Season 3 the upgrade system has been modified a bit, and some new features added. Once a player obtains an upgrade to a particular level of an item for a specific armor slot, upgrading further items to that level will be less expensive, even in the event that they belong to an entirely different set of gear.

The discount applies to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is reduced too, but it is only available once certain milestones have been reached.

Crests

Players have a variety of options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more special and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an important component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

First, you must be aware that the crests can only be purchased for equipment that is that is of a particular rank. Each rank comes with distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade process costs just 15 crests while the most complicated may require as many as 20 crests based on the kind of gear being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by finishing content at the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and performing outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, dungeons or raids of all difficulties for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ dungeons or heroic raid bosses to obtain endgame gear. The crests can later be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, like Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to obtain the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.

The new currency system isn't complicated to use, however it does bring some changes to the process of upgrading. Once a piece of gear has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it will no longer require Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible level for all their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another important change is that crests have one use and it's crucial to use them wisely. It is best to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the Best item upgrade gear you can find and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly applicable to items like rings and trinkets that occupy several slots. The discount for the entire account will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
