Items that are upgraded are components that can be put into weapons, armor and trinkets to give an added benefit. They typically have an increased cost and require the item upgrader mod to be at an appropriate level.

A custom glyph set can comprise up to 31 glyphs comprising both the base name and its suffix. The glyphs of the base name must be uppercase English letters (A-Z) and lowercase English letters (a-z), European digits (0-9) and underscore (_). The suffix can include ligatures, or contextual alternative. These are special variations that combine two or more letters into one glyph.

Reroll Tokens

Upgrades are the principal mechanic that offers bonuses on items, such as additional stats. These upgrades are available in three types: rerolling and recycling and leveling up. Each type comes with a distinct set of extra bonuses to an item level upgrade.

Reroll Tokens let players change the base power of an item and the number of upgrades available, and can also be used to reroll substats in ring. Rerolling costs 1 token and resets all upgrades to an item, but will keep the rarity, set and level of the item. The ability to level an item to its maximum level increases its rank by 1.

The Blueprint Desk allows players to buy new Appliances, Ingredients and Decorations for their restaurant. Blueprints are given at the beginning of each Preparation Stage and appear as envelopes which can be opened by pressing Grab. Each blueprint is branded with a distinct icon, and each category of upgradable item displaying different icons:

Choosing a franchise card from the Blueprint Desk will allow you to acquire certain appliances or ingredients that are needed for certain recipes. Certain appliances and ingredients are considered staples, which means that they will never be available at the Shop or through a reroll, while others have a higher chance of appearing if a certain Franchise Card is chosen from the Blueprint Desk. This is known as the Staple Pool, and the items in it will remain in the pool for the rest of the run. When purchased from the Blueprint Desk, non-staple equipment is also transferred to the Seed Pool.
